We don't know, but I think it's likely an axe.considering the magazine decided to start 6 new mangas in a short period of time and of some were needed to be axed, keijo would be one being on the bottom of rankings.

We also need to see how will the last chapter go, but from last page that already leaked, looks to me like it will definitely be a rushed final chapter just to say it ended: even if he really wanted to end it with another tie between Miyata and Nozomi, which isn't that good as it would be a rehearsal from their previous match, I don't think he would do it with just one chapter

This too though. I finally ordered the first volume two weeks ago but I discovered it and started enjoying it back in fucking 2015. Westerners often rightly complain that the japs can have shitty taste but it's ultimately not a charity, if it's bad taste otaku actually spending the bucks then that's what the market responds to.

I just wish it was a bit easier and more organized for westerners to support manga. Like, if there was some way to buy a digital copy so that I don't have to pay any shipping or overhead. I'm fine with just having the scanlation, I wished the large amount of money shipping costs went to the author instead. If I knew moon maybe I could figure out how to offer to send a check or something directly but I don't.

Japanese Twitter users seem to be saying the magazine that Keijo is in is changing to be more like Shonen Jump, and will be relaunching itself with six new series in "competitive" slots.

That's really shit, honestly. Shonen Jump is struggling right now due to the fact that their format is ass and that they have no juggernaut series compared to five years ago. It's really just One Piece and a few others carrying the magazine weekly. I hope the guy can take the series to another magazine, depending on how much ownership he retains of it.

Yeah, we already said that a few times. That was a fake, nowhere on the link there was anything like that, the Japanese weren't discussing anything related to that. At most they said that if the anime was more popular it could hae boosted the manga sales which may have resulted in it avoiding being cut. One source used to justify it was the author blog, but there is also no new post there, last one was back on volume 15 release.

The saddest part is that everyone went around to other sites and forums replicating that without checking for sources. The anon who made it up probably had lots of laughs at everyone.

What makes this worst is the fact that the manga would likely be able to reach it's natural end in about an year (4-5 more volumes) had it taken it's natural course.

Afterall there was a clear objective, reach S class and then compete on the Prize Queen Assettlement Battle. So it wasn't going to keep on forever.

Rather than aimed, I would say it's naturally so. As in it's serious sports manga, but with a natural contextual fanservice and weird premise that would put off most sports fans. And it's not fanservice focused for the fanservice fans.

Another divisive part of it is the absurdity of the sport. If you take it too seriously, you wouldn't be able to appreciate the weirdness and parody while also likely being put off by the exaggerated abilities. But if you don't take it seriously at all then you miss on the excitement of the battles and what moves the characters forward.

So while I like the mix, a mix which makes it be a quite unique manga I loved, I completely understand why it won't appeal to most, and why most won't even give it a chance.
