I'll tell you what went right: dragon dick.
This anon had it right.
Honestly, esdeath was the reason it got popular. I don't give a fuck if people say tatsumi didn't love her, its not like the series was any good so the author should've just made esdeath win.
They killed everyone, I mean it might be fun at first to have no plot armor but when everyone is dead the only thing that's left is a dead series.
I think that line was crossed with Lubbock.
I want to have unprotected sex with Akame.
>MC wasn't likable for most of the series
>All the empire was evil because some masochist/sadist family the MC found at the start
>Everyone who got killed had more character in their short time than the MC
>MC made the dumbest fucking decisions at the stupidest fucking time
>empire was "evil" because they were doing some shady shit to avoid their citizens getting constantly raped or killed by psychos in the wild
>Anime ending made no sense, they just killed the leader and said he was a bad guy to what appeared to be a decently functioning society
The empire wasn't perfect at all, but given the amount of bullshit going on around the world that everyone was saying horror stories about, I think I'd take my chances living in the empires cities.
The latest movie prequel to YuYuYu had a gruesome death. Even copied a bit of Tasumi walking into the head pole, if you pay attention to framing.
That is because Takahiro is a hack, but he is also savvy enough to know that if he had killed anyone in an edgy, shocking moment, the Otaku would have dismissed the series.
Now that he already has his fanbase however, his kill button is on.
My GOD DON'T GET ME STARTED.
First of all
What kind of retarded bull shit is that? why the fuck did the cat bitch not die after getting shot like 6 times? How did she have the strength to kill that guy? HOW did she manage to travel all the way from where she was to akame THEN her boss THEN in the middle of the kingdom during celebration. WHO the fuck were those guys she was stalking. WHY did she just go die in some random ass fucking alley?
THERE IS NO SIGNIFICANCE TO AKAME AND ESDETH FIGHTING.
>akame's asspull ability that no one's ever talked about or seen before with absolutely no consiquences.
>the fact that after tatsumi transforms he automatically knows how to use his new flying powers.
HOW THE FUCK can everyone hear each other from a halfmile away in that final battle scene.
WHAT. JUST FUCKING WHAT.
>Tatsumi had the PERFECT position to be a double agent and feed this allies all the information he wanted even could slow esdeths movements
>Could even get imperial training for his sorry ass
>Gets cold feet to be one of the most useful assets his team could have hoped for because "she wanted muh dick"
Why didn't the fucking boss die after using her trump card the third time like she EXPLICITLY SAID WOULD KILL HER.
What happened to tatsumi's village?
The beginnign and build of of the series was alright but oh my fucking god that ending almos gave me an anurism.
Not really, taking in consideration the peak of the manga was the colosseum battle, but yeah, killing off so many characters without introducing new ones leave the author without many options to work with.
Only her in that prequel. There is a second prequel in which most of the cast dies, and because Takahiro is a hack, the weapon system is literature the same as AgK, but we don't know if it will get an anime.
>What happened to tatsumi's village?
They got a bag of money or something that was shown in the credits. So that solved all their problems of vicious gangs slaughtering towns like they had been doing all throughout the series. Remember if you have a bunch of money in a shit town that can't protect itself, it instantly becomes safer.
That plot armor is a necessary evil in a fighting series. Yeah the Big 3 + Fairy Tail are badly written tripe that care too much for status quo but senseless edge just leads nowhere
While things where big in the Colosseum battle it's after you really noticed the effects of them being gone, it led to a real dead atmosphere and being a monthly manga didn't help at all.
The problem for the outer small villages was that they were poor as fuck because they get taxed heavily to pay for evil rape dungeons or whatever the fuck the comically evil rich guys were doing, which led to people coming from the countryside to try and get jobs and end up like Tatsumi without getting saved or meet dog.
>why the fuck did the cat bitch not die after getting shot like 6 times?
Kinda felt like that was just some evil rich asshole, never got the impression it was a common practice
It was some stupid shit like that, Tatsumi was going to make money or some shit in the city so they could pay for mercs to protect them or something.
Killing off characters too soon before we had any emotional investment in them, Bors and Scheele's deaths are the only ones which I felt were handled right. Not to mention Takahiro really didn't give good examples as to why both sides were fighting.
>These are bad guys because reasons
>We're good guys because reasons
It was okay up until around Wild Hunt got introduced but I did enjoy the first sixty or so chapters.
Respects tatsumi a bunch, they even work the best together till the end
obviously has a thing for tatsumi and is a really good friend who tries helping him get stronger
Would literally run off with him to an island and live out the rest of their days together
LOL I HATE YOU AND YOU'RE ALWAYS IN MY WAY FUCK OFF AND DIE TATSUMI
Tatsumi: Ah yes Mine is my one true love who cares for me
>Mine rapes Tatsumi and gets him to impregnate her while Akame watches
>Esdeath never considered raping him even on the island where she could've overpowered him or trapped him with her ice
Reminder Esdeath is the morally superior woman
>tfw both best girls won
Would literally run off with him to an island and live out the rest of their days together
Why do you guys always believe this bullshit? Esdeath is the general of the strongest empire in the world, she has money, respect, and the chance to fight all she wants until her heart gives out from all the excitement.
Do you really think she is going to give up her passion for fighting, just to become tatsumi trophy wife, shitting kids for him for the rest of her boring life?
I think most people dont really understand Esdeath character, they want her to be a simple average anime girl when she is anything but.
If I was Tatsumi I would just dick her slowly, have pillow talks with her about how crooked and horrible the empire appears underneath the surface than we'd run off together living a vagabond life finding enjoyment hunting down the Empire soldiers while Esdeath trains me and we fight each stronger foe together. It'd be comfy.
For Tatsumi? She might have, Esdeath is another victim of the circumstances in this world, but we actually will never know, but it doesn't seem like something improbable, for her to drop the empire and look a new life with Tatsumi, after all, she didn't had any tie with the empire, she was just there because it offer her what she wanted, but what if she wanted something else? Simple as that.
Yeah people forget she didn't give two shits about the empire in her heart. She only cared that they gave her power and the ability to do fuck all she wanted given her past.
If there was something that gave her more power or suited her needs better I have no doubt she would have dropped them
>power equal to danger of the user
>user literally about to die and with no hope left
>WHERE DID THAT COME FROM
Based Tatsumi saving Mine will be one of the most epic rescues in anime and manga forever.
>Seryu beats Sheele and Mine in a 2v1.
>Powered up Seryu loses to Mine in a 1v1.
I know the author wanted Mine to get her vengeance but this was just stupid.
I really wanted to see how Seryu would have behaved with Wild Hunt around
It was an inconsistent mess of edge and shonen. The author liberally used death and gruesome demises as a means to try to raise the stakes, but when you introduce a character only to murder them not long thereafter, it becomes pointless to even care. The fact that the more interesting characters either died early or died anti-climatically doesn't help.
Then there's the anime original ending that basically turned off most people from even finishing the manga. While it does end differently, either way they screwed the pooch. It doesn't help that the end story was still anti-climactic in some ways even in the manga.
Also shipping wars ruin shonen and AgK is no exception.
The rescue was cool but I it would have been better if Tatsumi had also fought Seryu as well.
As much as I liked Bulat, I could see his death coming from a mile away.
Seryu would have gotten her much needed development, had she still been alive then
Come up with your idea for a sequel.
>Tatsumi's kid has some bizarre power, which turns out to see spirits or some shit like that
>For some reason Esdeath's spirit attaches herself to him and continuously makes sexual advances towards him while they travel together
The Queen of dragons will tell you in the next season. When she reappear of course
I was kinda satisfied with the amount of screen time she got (I mean she got a complete mini arc!), so as her overall role in this shitfest. Hell, if I have to name just ONE thing which went right in AgK that would be her without a single doubt.
It was also obvious Takahiro liked her.
desu Justice dying was what ruined it, all the real problems can be traced back to there.
Like her or not a lot of the development in the series had revolved around her up to that point, even if she was a meme, she was a meme that the story needed to not come off the rails like it did. By the time Lubbock died the series was already well past its peak of popularity and dropping fast so his death was incapable of being as significant.
They didn't put their grasses on.
>The gore and the darkness of the series is so forced for no real reason
>somehow bunch of cold blood assassins are the good guys , they are too kind heart they kind ignore someone being bullied by another
>Kill all the cast for the sake of shock value
>in resulet many drop the series and the other prevent themselves from relating to any characters
Gore and blood never made a good series
Killing the characters is rather cheap move to shock the audience but after rebating it every time it just ridiculous
