Dude, the CGi in this anime is not even a half bad comparing to roger anime with CGi. I'm usually a huge 3DCG hater, but in this series I don't really mind it. Especially if it is visible only on gears.
In other side we got BEAUTIFUL character design, I really miss detailed shading, faces, cute dresses of female characters.

And I don't get the whole hate for this series. It looks like bunch of normalfags started watching it for action plot, and they got something else. So, normalfags are pissed off that they don't have mindless action and hating it.

My problem was that it was only the once, and episodes 2 and 3 have been pretty empty of it. So it comes off as not being an integral part of the show, but just a throwaway scene to try and entice viewers at the start and trick them to stay. Also, there's no reason to have so much saliva for a robot. It's at least the second show this season that's done it, the other being FAG.

I like the idea of the setting this show has and all the characters but the MC, who still kind of annoys me a bit. Not a ton, I don't hate him or whatever and he can be pretty funny... It's just, I dunno.

I like that he realized the consequences for registering an obviously super important ai to himself, but then when asked to return it he just outright refuses without any explanation or attempt to barter, like, he knew this was gonna happen at some point, and why did he even meet up with them if he had no plan? Did he really think that'd be it?

Also, he realized the entire city was about to collapse, and wasn't going to help, but did he have any idea how he was going to survive it if they failed because of him?

The fact that he couldn't even repair a clock but is an expert with clockwork tech bugs me a lot too, but I guess that's just lack of technical knowledge making him useless at actual repairs when his innate ticking sensing super hearing ability isn't guiding him. If it isn't ticking at all I assume he's useless?

I don't mind his ridiculous interest with clockwork stuff, that's totally fine, but when he doesn't even seem to consider how he'll survive of if he should help the city not fall apart (like what, was he scared? He sure as hell didn't have any fear when they were fighting, so why did he even refuse in the first place?) until another robot is mentioned it makes it feel like his only personality trait is his obsession.

Hey I'm having fun and enjoying it. I've been told I have a ridiculous amount of suspension of disbelief and I can absorb a lot of nonsense in a plot (to the point where everyone ignores my recommendations). It's just (art style aside) this story feels so close to being amazing minus only a FEW glaring points that I can't fathom why they're even there and it frustrates me because I could easily love this anime so much more than it looks like I'm going to.

Aside from My Hero Academy season 2, everything I've watched of the new shows thus far have just been pleasantly enjoyable time wasters, and I'm just eager for another show to really draw me in.

But for the other part, he already decided in the first episode that he'd keep the robot even if it turned out someone would be after it.
