It's a source of intense nostalgia to me. It was also spooky as fuck when I watched it on TV.

The show is basically a set of episodic stories about high school kids getting involved with weird spooky shit. Apparently it has nothing to do with the main story of the LNs, but characters from the LNs will show up sometimes. It doesn't seem that confusing though.
