The reason Hiroomi doesn't leave Aki after being mauled is because he's his fucking guardian, not because he's his friend. He and Mitsuki are forced to be in the literature club with him to keep him under their watch, even though Hiroomi doesn't attend a lot because he's the older of the two and he's more involved in other businesses in the sprit world warrior society or whatever it was called.
