I hope they cut most parts of the LN because, quite frankly, LN4 to 7 are complete fucking dog shit. Even LN3 is pretty fucking shit to be honest. Too much focus on people who you know will never have a shot because its established incredibly early that Sagiri and Masamune will end up together and that they've loved each other from day one. So their romantic feelings arent really developing, they basically peaked since they first met. Them eye fucking each other for 20 seconds in the first episodes was basically that moment.

However, judging by the end of LN8 and him saying that he'll speed up his plans he always wanted to marry her anyway. By marrying her he makes her family, while a girlfriend wouldnt be (I mean to me it is as well but Japanese, so whatever). All the competition had already been taken care off. Elf basically loses in LN3 and 6 but never had a shot (see above) and Muramasa didnt even bother anymore, I mean she basically was ruled out by LN2 when Sagiri told her to fuck off and Masamune passively agreed.

In OreImo either party could have won because they couldnt get married, right? In EMS there is nothing that stops them from fucking like rabbits and being husband and wife. Which is a bit of a bummer, especially considering how the author handled the story. I mean, there are still some okayish joke but all in all the LN is pretty meh for the reasons described above.

The problem with Oreimo was that Kyosuke barely had a personality and Kirino was a real bitch sometimes. Masamune at least has a passion for writing, and the worst Sagiri has done is be mildly annoying. I also think the humor is delivered much better in Eromanga, but it all really boils down to personal preference i guess.
