Or do you not understand that the japanese language has a different sentences construction than the english one?

Akira probably said "Asuka-akage ka", which is roughly equivalent in general to "Professor Akage (is)" or "Professor Akage (did)" and specifically here to "Professor Akage (did die)". The "die" part being omitted because it can be infered from the previous sentence: Japanese use a lot of inference in their language.
