>gits 2017 = sonic OC's
>tracing directly from the original, but all the added ideas are generally bad
At least it got rid of that shitty, pseudo-intellectual monologue from the boat scene.
/a/ /m/ /tv/ on suicide watch
>implying GITS '17 has anything even close to as quotable as "nothin personnel"
it's worse

That's not a giant amount over budget.

Delete that vomit bait, suicide inducing image, then we'll talk.

What's worse, Alec Baldwin and his shitty unfunny Trump impression being shoved down my throat for an hour and a half, or a terrible bastardization of a great manga?
Was pretty disappointing that they destroyed the major's past and character as a tactician/combat veteran/hacker so that they could make her some random protestor and focus half the movie on her insecurities.

And they invested hard in advertisement!
At least on my country.
Ads everywhere (for a movie). Annoying splash screens on multiplex cinema homepages.
I Guess they eventually are going to get their money back due to cable channels / streaming and dvd / blu ray, but it will be hardly a success.
Another measure of success is how much time it takes a movie to be displayed on non-premium cable channels. If its less than a year is was a meh, movie. If it take less than 6 months then that movie was a flop.
