It tends to be idealised a ton and resemble a Britain of the past rather than be faithful to the modern reality, which makes me depressed. I wish Britain looked like it does in anime, I wish British girls acted like they do in anime.

That said, the most notable recent depictions all have clear evidence of having done direct research here, so despite being idealised, they often have many fun details to pick up on.

The K-on! movie is an exception when it comes to this, it felt almost like it was a 1:1 recreation of their research trip, very realistic. All it was missing was the girls getting culturally enriched by the religion of peace while sightseeing.

I may not be lurking enough but i have never seen any reference or depiction of belgium.

Well Trey Parker based the episode on his own experience visiting the country and San José is objetively a shit tier city full of bums,drug addicts, sin ugly whores and shit architechture t b h and if you're not into nature and animals I imagine one would hate the tropical forests, that's what happened to Trey and Carman's dialogue through the episode is kinda his own opinion
