It wrapped everything up and gave you a good snapshot of their lives afterwards. It ran on for too long but overall was pretty good. Outside Asaba going full creep lolicon at the end it was pretty good.

Pretty much none? Why would they suddenly go back and revisit a 20-year-old manga that most people have forgotten about? It's not as if this is Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, or some other anime which has stayed in the cultural mindset all that time.
