It will. The Last Lesson likely means the academy graduation exam that occurs at the start of Gaiden, or the thing that happens directly before it. Since a cour is normally 12 episodes, I predict that 7-12 will be Gaiden. I guess Mitsuki's story will either be done in his episode or as a flashback later down the line.

That's another wonderful thing about Boruto: the fact that the main characters are actually friends from early on.

This. And even then it'll still be fun ninja adventures until the timeskip happens. And even then there's a chance that the edgy dystopian future we see might actually be decently written.

Basically yet another chance for this world to be one the justice it deserves. Naruto isn't like DBZ, the concept and setting are actually incredibly solid. Something about chakra and the way ninja fight is inherently interesting, and the amalgam of feudal Japan and modern times along with Japanese folklore and mythology creates a world that's just really damn cool. Every time faggot kids on the school playground pretended to be Naruto characters, they put themselves in the world of Konoha and shinobi because it captured their imagination.

Boruto is just another chance to do that, and hopefully do it well.

It'd actually be pretty damn clever if throughout the course of the series they become less and less like their parents. Then you can contrast who they were when they began and who they ended up.

The problem with the original series is that character development was reserved for the main cast and a few notable side characters, everyone else remained static.

I don't think you watched the movie. While he can make a fucking lot of clones, they all take a lot of stamina which is why its a forbidden technique in the first place. As hokage he keeps up clones almost 24/7 helping out the people in town.

Which resulted in it backfiring on him and him running out of stamina in the worst possible moment at his daughters birthday, which only further estranged him from his son.

He abused clones a lot, but not productively enough. It most mostly for menial labor in town.

The way I see it. Kishimoto built the world and all of it's rules and has kept it very consistent, leaving some flexible space for people to introduce whatever they want to the world. He had many flaws people have pointed out, especially the drawn out Uchiha clan shit and Sasuke being an angsty brat for 200+ episodes.

But since his team of assistants are so well acquainted with the world and with Kishi being a referee for the world he built. They really can't fuck it up worse than all the Uchiha clan shit. and a lot of the gold from Shippuden came from other contributers. The animators on good fight episodes, the light novel writers.

Basically Kishimoto created a sandbox that all of his team can play around with.

I hadn't read/watched Naruto for about 8 years because I got fed up with certain characters (and the lack of other characters), but I gave the Boruto movie a chance out of boredom and enjoyed it.

There isn't enough content to give a definite answer about the quality of the series, but I have hopes that it won't become the same mess that the original series became since Kishimoto is no longer in charge of the writing.

It could turn out to be wonderful or it could be the worst shit ever in the long run but I hope people are willing to give it a chance without judging it (positively or negatively) for being linked to Naruto.

Rasengan just takes the color of the chakra that goes into it. In the anime, Naruto's natural chakra color is yellow and so his normal Rasengans are yellow; in the anime they used blue for both. But plenty of other characters in the series got immortality, yet he never seems to want to go/do what they did to do it despite it being easier/more effective then the body snatching method. Kazuku and Hidan both managed it, and he could have also just killed himself, had and underling edo teisei him, and then just off the underling.

I like both. The manga version shows off a mature version of Boruto that is the goal he wants to achieve. The anime version just creates something more fluid for the animators to work with, without taking too much away from the manga version.

Keep in mind Kishimoto's assistant is a fantastic draftsman. He's inherited a lot of ability from working on interior panels over the years. However he still has room to evolve. He will become much more loose and comfortable drawing the characters. And Kishi will be there to make sure the previous gen characters maintain their designs.

Kishimoto being involved is an awesome thing. This series cannot fail unless they drop the ball with the villain.

Honestly they should just Dark Souls it and make the central antagonist the inevitable march of time and progress which eventually renders the shinobi obsolete. Kawaki just seems like an agent of that change. Sure, there are manipulators, but this was bound to happen sooner or later.

For once I'm more interested in the protagonist than the antagonists.
