The classic is roast beef or with mashed potatoes, some assorted veggies (greenbeans, broccoli, carrots, etc.) and gravy from the meat. You can substitute any part for an equivalent (eg. chicken breast and chicken gravy) to change up the flavour but that's the basic formula. There's also stuff like casseroles, which is like a starch-heavy layered dish that can be made with virtually anything, hearty soups with thick stock and loads of different vegetables, and so on. The general idea between white people food is to take small amounts of lots of different things and make them work together. Duck was big for me growing up because I lived up in the mountains where hunting was the #1 passtime, and vegetables were entirely 'whatever looks good at the farmer's market.' Near the coast you'd probably find much more seafood-focus cooking and in the prairies probably a lot more pasta and corn, but the basic structure of a meal stays mostly the same.
