taking off is easy, landing is the hard part. in stories threads of ideas, characters and plots spring endlessly from any beginning, tying them back into one point, the conclusion requires masterful planning especially for long stories

Didn't the Manga writer put out an apology for how bad this ending was.
>>
>>155557150
But Machi had a pretty happy ending.
>>
>>155557150
I'll never get why this ending was poorly received.
>>
>>155560717
How so?
>>
>>155559249
which one?

Because you are actually watching a 12 episode advertisement. The real ending is in the material you are supposed to buy.
>>
>>155557150
Because japs rarely break the shitty writing formula they have.
>>
>>155557150
Because a lot of directors want to have a big, grandiose conclusion and are just like "Leftover plot threads? What are those?"
>>
>>155560743
because anime full of bullying and mental torture should end in fairy tale sweet ending like kotoura-san did

Yep, they showed their dislike for it on tumblr and then later apologized for the post and how the ending played out:

Nips are actually pretty terrible writers most of the time. Their ideas can be pretty good but when it comes to execution everything crashes.
>>
>>155561681
so did it end with them going back to the real world or staying in the matrix?

>>155557861
THIS. THIS 1000X OVER. LIKE IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY COMPREHEND.

That applies to all nationalities. I don't understand this tendency on /a/ to pretend only nips do things that are done world-wide.

Pandering to shippers and reading their awful opinions on social media.

>anime
>most are advertisement for LN haremshit and unfinished manga
All shit.

>manga
>most are weekly format where the author try to extend this shit for as long as possible
>manga with shit popularity get axed before the full story can be told
Ended up being all shit.

Seriously, japan writers aren't actually bad. Look at the real books and VN. The story there are completely told as envisioned by their author. Anime and manga are just shit medium with the current commercialism and jew environment.
>>
>>155559249
Duck you?
>>
>>155561953
Probably most people on /a/ have narrow interests and don't read western books.
>>
>>155561823
The plot is so convoluted people here needed that long-ass posts in order to understand it. I only remember that Souta got back, or maybe I remember wrong.
>>
>>155562043
I cant seem to be able to into books. I can pick it up and really get into the story for a bit but then i just dont pick it back up again. These also applies to everything else. Games, anime, everything.
>>
>>155562043
So do I, but all it takes is a little common sense to understand something as a simple as that.
>>
>>155561953
>>155562043
Their literature is also like that. Haruki Murakami can't write for shit too.
>>
>>155562115
It's just that magical realism is cancer, that only Marquez could wrote well.
At least some of Mukakami's short stories that do not use it are good. He's no Chekov, but still.
>>
>>155561974
>>155561974
Yeah most anime tends to never have an actual ending because they almost never continue the show right until their adaptation ends. We are left with a 'the story continues' kind of ending whereas the manga/light novel eventually find an end.

Many times the LN/manga doesn't end at all and just ride the gravy train of money until the author loses interest and goes on an indefinite haitus.

Arc 1 of the series does end with Souta leaving the "matrix" world with most of his memories intact. Saying anything more would just make things even more complicated though since the anime skipped over volumes of content just to end it all with an anime original ending. It's a bit of a shame too since I really liked the girls in this series.

I wish this show was just retarded fun, I was enjoying how stupid it was when the plot wasn't being focused on. Also Nanami is adorable to me.
>>
>>155557150
Undoubtedly Hikaru no Go. It was fantastic up to a certain point and then the series just stops randomly with the MC losing.
>>
>>155562596
but the plot was fun though
>>
>>155561974
Some anime originals have awful endings though, like Wasted Potential of Xam'd.
>>

So, who was it?

I only ever seen the anime but manga & novel did end in 2015 & 2016.

Not having to participate in a rat race and living off quietly in a peaceful rural Japan area as a shrine maiden/village idol.
