Not sure, now that Vigilantes is canon, there are cases of people that had quirks that altered their appearances that were further augmented via the drug. Like the demon looking guy.
I think the drug takes your quirks beyond their capacity. So that blade guy from this chapter may have been at maximum length for his blades. Plus I don't think he also could manifest blades from his freaking eye, I assume that to be a mutation brought on by the drug.

An above average chapter.
Not one of the best chapters by any means but chapters showing important side characters are productive. Especially when they involve some of the best important side characters such as Kirishima. I also like Kirishima’s new Form. It looks bad ass. The chapter also goes somewhat into the psychology not only of the antagonists but Kirishima’s as well. One thing that I like about Boku No Hero Academia is that even though it’s a very classic type of series it also shows the complexity of good vs. evil- there are a lot of complex protagonists and antagonists.

I mean, I love a good "will they-won't they" scenario, because it feels really genuine in a high school setting. But I want payoff as well and not too late in the series that we can't see some romantic fumbles. I wanna see some real jealousy from Deku first. Ochako is quite a catch, despite her money situation, and the only people who've made any moves are Mineta (doesn't really count) and Kaminari (Ochako was oblivious to his flirting.) Deku knows she's cute, he blushes every time she gets close.
As much as this is a battle shounen with superpowers, villains, and rivals, it's also a coming of age story and Deku and Ochako would do a lot for each other's emotional growth and would be great support for each other.

Probably the pacing. That's my biggest gripe about it. Can't helped, though, since it's a monthly, but buildup and proper setup are almost nonexistent in Vigilantes. I like the 3 main characters, but the villains are all forgettable. I don't know--I still like it, but that's maybe because I love the original series so much, so I might be a little biased in its favor.

I'm hoping that cliche is subverted here, as Horikoshi seems fond of flipping stuff like that on its head in some way. It'd be such a waste of character potential, and he seems truly fond of his characters, at least in his little blurbs about them. I just worry about him expanding this world too much and introducing compelling characters that end up being flat by the end. Don't wanna stretch the narrative too thin, and so far he's accomplished avoiding that by keeping a tight focus on Deku and moving the plot along at a nice pace.
I liked the fact that he diverted some attention away from Deku with this Kirishima chapter, which gave us some background on Kirishima's development. But again, it all comes full circle with the fact that Kirishima is involved in this greater investigation arc with Deku, Mirio, and NightEye. Making a small team effort here allows us to get to know characters outside of Deku's viewpoint, but keeps them relevant and focused to the overarching plot. And thank god Todoroki and Bakugou aren't in the investigation. Seen too much of them lately, and I think Hori knows that.

Not speaking for the rest of the characters, but Deku and Ochako seem pretty damn hetero to me. As far as there being 'fujo bait,' he's got a lot of other characters that would suit better than Deku and Ochako. Deku is at 8% and will probably get to 10% in a dozen chapters. He's already destined to get to probably at least 50% before the end of the Manga, if not all the way to 100%.
All might at his prime was already the strongest by a long shot, even stronger than all for one per injury, which makes Deku inevitably the strongest too (and probably why the final battle of the Manga will take place long before he hits 100%).
Deku doesn't need to be the focus of constant upgrades because we already know he's going to get more and more OP over time.
