I wonder if the colossal and the female titan really are called like that. I could imagine that Armin wont be colossal, but still can use the steam ability.

Maybe they are actually called Steam Titan and Crystal Titan, and the size of the colossal titan was just determined by the serum, like it was the case with Rod Reiss.

But that wouldnt explain why there was a armored titan serum in that bag, too.

Maybe if injected, it turns you into a normal mindless titan and you only get the ability to harden after eating another shifter.

Bert's colossal titan is one of the original 9. They are inherited by eating their predecessor (traditionally passed on within a family or clan, with son eating the father. That was before the military took over and assigned who would inherit their power).

Wall titans are different. They were mindless drones created by the power of the founding titan to form the walls (again no serum involved, the founding titan was powerful enough to control or alter the minds of humans and to transform them to titans directly). The founding titan is the most powerful of the 9 originals.

They said in chapter 86 Marley wanted the oil and coal resources within Eldia. Genocide of the Eldians was just a bonus prize and it would eliminate them as a potential threat.

With the coordinate secure, the threat of the wall titans is removed which would free them up for a full invasion and take the fossil fuel. This would give them the resources they needed to wage war on an industrial scale with the east. Marley was lacking enough fuel for a world war and knew titan power was waning. They needed fuel more than they needed titans.

This is similar to the two front war Germany fought in WW2 and their invasion of Russia was heavily motivated by their necessity to acquire the russian oilfields and Donetsk coalfields. They though a swift victory in russia would give the Germans the fossil fuel resources they needed to win the war against the west.

Everything that happened in the manga up until now is just a war for oil. It's kind of fucked up.

Eren and Armin are both dying from titan aids though. Of the main three only Mikasa will still be around.

They know what Hange is. But the reader can't confirm it, because in Japan there's no such a thing as gendered pronouns like her or him. Even girls call themselves boku sometimes. Anyways, Hange calls herself watashi and most refer to her as omae/anata or simply Hange-san. Even Levi who calls almost everyone "koitsu", has referred to Hange just by saying "Aitsu/Kuso megane/ano megane" which is very cute. Since he removed the kuso later on to sound less rough, though he's just been calling her Hange lately.
