Sakura (at possibly an older age than she is in CCS) has a dream that an alternate universe self of her is in trouble (she's Clow Reed levels of strong so just accept it).

Due to this she crosses dimensions one day and gives her alternate self the Star Wand. It's okay though because Sakura doesn't need it use the cards.

This is later given to Yoko as payment to allow an alternate universe Syaoran to travel the mulitiverse to help save another alternate reality Sakura.

In the anime canon Sakura also does Astral projection to give hope to princess Sakura in the Tokyo OVA.

Also Yoko calls her a high school student "living" with her boyfriend at one point indicating that she and Syaoran are gonna get through this arc okay (since they're only middle school in Clear Card)
