That said. Accepting conditions and learning to work with them or rejecting conditions and striking out with your own thing are equally valid ways for personal growth and gaining opportunities.

Just look at Krone. Rin fucking loves Triad Primus. And while Natsuki didn't feel up to the offer that Mishiro made, Ryo and Syoko were okay with it. And in the last episode, we see those two doing just fine.

The discussion between TakeP and Mishiro in the last episode actually sums up the message of the show quite succinctly. TakeP claimed that he personally didn't agree with how Mishiro did things, but he never dismissed Mishiro's way as the "wrong" way either as he ultimately admitted that he was stuck in his own personal framework of doing things in the same way that she was. What they do however is just present possibility for the idol and ultimately what they become is up to them.

Plenty of names in the entertainment industry only became successes because they "sold out." Because of that, plenty of opportunities opened up to them, they gained more exposure, honed their craft even more in the bigger stage they were given, and because of their growth, were able to open new pastures for themselves. Gritting your teeth through things you don't like isn't exactly the right way, but it isn't exactly the wrong way either. Opportunities are Opportunities and they open new possibilities.

Totokira Academy immediately snagged up idols from all sorts of departments and TakeP's Power of Smile concert more or less included the entire roster of 346. I'd say plenty of other Producers and other departments were eager to prove Mishiro wrong and rub it in her face.

I do agree that Michiro's plan have merits and would allow her idols to grow in popularity and opportunities, but she's applying them to the wrong group of idols. Her plan to distance the idols from their fan and turn them into stars is a massive blow to idols who rely on character images and niches, idols that place importance on connecting with their fans, and idols that takes things at their own pace - which are most of the idols in 346 already. The plan would've worked fine if most of the idols in the company are like Rumi or Arisu that place great value professionalism.

We never really knew the corporate and company landscape of 346 at the time. Maybe it was working inefficiently with too many projects and stretching itself too thin and thus, retrenching was needed. Or maybe it was allocating it's talent incorrectly.

Point is however, was that there is a canonical in-universe statement that 346 improved it's productivity under her. And I'll take the official canon word for it that she did good things for the company. Granted, some idols didn't like the change, but that goes into the narrative of the show regarding professionalism and working through things that displeases you.

Ultimately however, it's not like Mishiro was painted in the absolute "correct" either. The entire Power of Smile thing was a humbling experience for her and as we see in the epilogue, she seems to have mellowed out quite a bit and all the other idols are doing stuff that they genuinely enjoy.

It didn't though? The initial drafted plan was with Natsuki-Syoko-Ryo but Natsuki wanted out. But then we see this in the Power of Smile Concert. Since Krone is in the concert, this is probably the modified plan Mishiro had for Ryo and Syoko. And Syoko and Ryo seem to be enjoying themselves here.

Plus, you have to remember that Yui and Frederica agreed to be part of Project Krone.

Yui and Frederica are one of the most individually spirited and strong-willed CG idols in regards to what they want to do and won't do. They're the rebellious type and yet they had no problems working with the allegedly super serious and no fun Mishiro. For her to even consider those two rather difficult idols to be part of her super serious Project, there has to be a few screws loose with the her. Well that, or there is more to Mishiro than we know since Yui and Frederica agreed to work with her. And those two are hardly the kind of girls to agree on something just because they were told to.

See, that's the thing that I never really got. What you said about their personalities is true, Radio Happy and Furefure really sticks out amongst the Krone. I can see why everyone else in the group would join, but it's unimaginable for those two energetic happy girls to be in such a serious group led by a women who demand results before all else. So, as you've said, there must be something more with the project that we don't know about but it certainly wasn't shown or hinted in the anime so I can't really say anything about it.

Internal corporate power play is a complex topic, and without explicit statements, we're just left with assumptions here.

But you have to consider the framing of the show in regards to the setting and that's where I'm coming from here. The entire scope of the show is one fuck huge company, but the primary framing of the show is largely just stuck to the Cinderella Project and their immediate associates. And in that framing, Mishiro is nothing but an imposing element that made things worse. However, you cannot necessarily say the same for the whole company.

But in regard to improvements, Rin joining Triad Primus was nothing but good for her. In that regard, what Mishiro did was certainly an improvement for Rin's case. Triad Primus and Krone by extension are huge successes and improvements over what they were doing before. They were the stars of the Autumn Concert.

Project Krone was a success. And successful units and concerts in turn means successes for the company as well.

All things considered, the Idols are still very pretty ladies. And if made to work under a more professional framework, they can be proper artists that appeals to a more wider and casual crowd rather than niche fanbases. And that was the vision Mishiro had. And honestly, from a pragmatic point of view, expanding to a more accessible appeal and market is a good thing.

That's her flaw however. I'm not justifying her point of view, but that learning to open that narrow point of view some more and understanding what you just pointed out was her own character arc as the designated antagonist of the series.
