Yabuki was apparently friends with Mayoi Neko's writer. He even attended his funeral and was one of the Jump artists that got to draw some sketches on his coffin.

And the light novel Yabuki was doing illustrations for just got announced it was getting an anime adaption even though the writer died and the LN stops on 4 volumes.

My speculation is that TLR Darkness ended and right now Yabuki may have been asked to possibly write the ending of that unfinished LN he was doing the artwork for or at least contribute to the ending the anime production staff will make for the final episode.

So TLR 3rd Part will come back after Yabuki is done with Hatena Illusion.
