One of the main things dreams are for is preparing your mind for experiences it's never experienced before. I've certainly never piloted a mech IRL but I've had multiple dreams where I have. I still remember a dream where I was a metal gear solid cyber samurai named "Titanium Tiger" and I was killing a horde of warhammer 40k orks and shit, just cutting deff dreads in half and slicing up Dakka mid air.

I think most people have dreams where they're naked in class or some shit though.
