Eh, I like it the way it is, it creates just the right effect. Watch any fan MMD "improvement" on nico, it just looks so lifeless despite being more fluid. You don't want every single animation having equal weight in fluidity, a lot of CG fails at this and it just gets fatiguing watching it, nothing stands out. I trust the director's ability to choose the right style for the project.
Japan agrees, in the survey "Don't change the style" got like 20 times more votes than "Please improve the CG".

I never really liked Kino's Journey all that much. Yes yes I know that's blasphemy here on /a/, it's our darling crown jewel and all that, but it just sort of rubbed me the wrong way, it always felt just a little too bitter and cynical. Like I get if the point is to show that the world is pretty shitty most of the time, but after the 5th or 6th "Kino visits a country where everyone is an asshole with problems including herself", it's just like, ok, I got it.

I don't think it's a bad series or anything, just not my cup of tea.

Reimu doesn't actually place that much difference between how she treats humans and youkai, she mostly just wants to laze around but she also understands how important the balance of humans and youkai are to Gensokyo's existence.

In fact her being so "friendly" with youkai is one of the reasons why her shrine is so poor. Suika and Clownpiece were crashing at the Hakurei Shrine for a while and I'm pretty sure that Sukuna's still hanging out there.

Reimu is the most misunderstood among Touhou characters.

She is indifferent. She talks in that tone to everyone. Which means the weak-willed tend to be annoyed at her while the strong finds her charming.

In WaHH, Komachi says that Reimu isn't someone to hold grudge. She can't bring herself to hate anyone in reality. The whole "Genocide of Youkais" are just her 'charade' in Gensokyo. Where the world is depending on Humans and Youkais to know their roles. Youkai scares humans, humans scared of youkai thus retaliate. Because if Humans are not afraid of Youkais, They will lose their meaning of existence and thus disappear. That is why Gensokyo exists where the world we live in doesn't believe in gods, demons and monsters anymore.
