I think it would have made more sense if it did though. Think about it; if his mom had died to tusken Raiders before he was taking in by the Jedi Academy his hatred would have been well Justified and a return to tattoing to murder the people responsible followed by his complete conversion to the dark side would have been more believable.

Instead we have the completely illogical scenario where the Jedi never send anybody to go pick up his mom in the decade or so he was training under them. They couldn't even just have the Council send a little money to give to Watto.

The guy that slaughtered MC´s village and MC´s sister is in that area. He met him, decided that he has changed and killing him won´t make a difference. So he leaves, and his friend remarks how boring this was, too predictable. The guy tries to convince himself it was the right thing to do, then thinking about his sweet sister and how cruel her killer was basically sent him into killing mode, so he goes back. He was only suppose to kill the guy, but everything as much as nudging him or part of his flames will die. Bad luck is what happens.

The kids didn't deserve it, but Doma definitely did. He killed an entire village himself, including kids.

It's like when you drone-strike a house to take out a terrorist Muslim and you also blow up 8 of his kids at the same time, yeah the kids didn't deserve it at all, but sometimes to take out a terrorist who has committed terrible crimes in the name of Islam and will doubtless commit more you have to make sacrifices.

I wonder what the lack of narration and dialogue is meant to convey. That we are watching a recording? That Agni, at that time, was in a mindless state and didn't fully register the people around him? Instead of bringing the reader into the scene, the reader is made a powerless observer who is simply shown what we already know has transpired. But we are not given insight into Agni's mind throughout this event, and we are disassociated from his victims.

How about you draw some simple conclusions on your own on what Agni is feeling? Is not hard. He tried to put a lid on his rage, it basically boiled over, not being able to contain a more than a decade hate for the man that killed his sister with a smug face. Now that he has done the deed, he not only killed Doma, fucked over all the children, burned down everything, but he most of all, could not follow his new found belief on forgive and forget.
