I'm just in it for the cute girls. My powerlevel idolshit-wise isn't high enough to appreciate much beyond the most catchy songs, like Shocking Party or Soldier Game. My favorite Aqours song is Strawberry Trapper.

After watching the Idolmaster anime series.

LL is sure in a different league in the music department. I guess that's the difference between LL which was designed as multi-media idol franchise and a rising game simulator with idols as gimmick.

I use to sort of like it but now I really don't like this franchise. Cringe worthy drama, the fact they had two seasons and a movie and yet they completely struggled to develop 9 girls, and the fact that you have to look into side material (like SiD or the Drama CD) to get any sort of development is just bad writing. Also this franchise is also responsible for unleashing two of my most hated characters of any anime and manga (Eli and Kanan) so that's another point against it.

Just an overrated franchise that doesn't understand the meaning of character development, giving your characters actual personalities and relevance and thinks selling yourself on cute idols makes up for a lack of substance.
