>Berserk came and went and returned again
>All the while Vagabond was on hiatus
What did Inoue mean by this?
curse of farming arcs

I'm reading at the moment, yesterday I wanted to read a couple of chapters before bed and I ended up going to bed at 5am and 50 chapters down the line.
Everything before was good to great but these Sasaki Kojiro origin chapters are truly amazing.

I know he already revealed the epilogue during his old exhibitions, but I really hope that doesn't mean he was with done with the entire series. We didn't even get to see Musashi vs Sasaki.
Vagabond's hiatus is about extreme existential anxiety, looming depression, and the questioning of one's own skills.
Berserk's hiatus is about video game release schedules.

This is just some of it.

Easily my favourite part, Jissai is my favourite character of the whole thing.

It's a lie; it's just art that he drew 'on the theme of' Musashi and Vagabond, or something. You get people going all alarmist over stuff like this picture, though, because it *looks* like the end.
These artists occupy the very top echelons of this medium, yet none of them ever manage to finish their series.
Is there anyone near their skill level that actually finished a fucking manga?
>>154987974
naoki urasawa? his art is pretty simplistic at times though
that guy who made kokou no hito maybe

Here is the most i've found of it, Hyper spoiler alert of course.

Wrong.
>>154987973
Going further - things like this are within the same book, which furthers the point: while the above pages are part of *an* end, it is not necessarily *the* end.

It's not a lie. It's basically the epilogue of the series.
>In 2006, due to the popularity and unique art style of his works, Inoue Takehiko was invited to expose his art at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo. He made over 140 gigantic paintings based on Vagabond for this huge event, which took 6 months of preparations for him and everyone involved. The paintings are not, however, only to show off his artwork; they are like big panels that make a story featuring an old Musashi, serving as an epilogue to Vagabond; the story is set in Reigando cave, the place of Musashi's death.
Don't click on the spoiler if you don't want to know who the young guy is in this post >>154987973
>>154988144
It is the end but it's not over yet, he skipped ahead for the exposition but he's still working forward filling the gap.
This might be a huge reason of the hiatuses too since you already made the end it would be easy to lose motivation.
But the farmland arc has ended.
>>154987974
Yes, plenty. Samura, Tanaka Masashi, Sakamoto Shinichi, etc.
>>154988058
>Urasawa
You what?
>>154988158
>>154988239
Then, to that end, can anyone direct me to where I might be able to get that artbook? I'll try to purchase it and/to scan it if it's not given an utterly unjustifiable price by some overzealous huckster.
>Tfw Matahachi's catholic adventure was about to kick off and it goes on hiatus.
Fugg.
>>154988087
Is that documentary subtitled somewhere?
>>154988087
Not only is the man extremely skilled but also rich and handsome. Fuck life man.
>>154990353
Looked around and couldn't find it, how much would it cost to get someone to sub it?
Does anyone know?
Jissai is my husbando.
>>154985121

>>154987616

>>154985121

What book? Musashi's book?
>>155000589

This is the work upon which Vagabond is based. They share strong similarities, but a fair number of differences. To that end, Vagabond can't really be called a proper 'adaptation', but they are both the same thing in overarching story and spirit.
Serious question, but what was the point of creating her? They obviously don't end up together.
>>154987252
The Kojiro arc comes out of nowhere but is amazing, and is followed by what might be the best arc in the story so far.
>>154985121
Looks like Danny Trejo.
