I watched the whole series for the first time over the past couple days, sans OVA. I think I would rate it 7/10, maybe a 6.5? Some of the music is alright, not a big fan of Blumenkranz. I really enjoy the background design the most out of KLK, the really rough texture work. Everything from around the original fiber being destroyed to the absolute machine being destroyed felt rather like an obligation than anything sincere, though, like "oh we did this in TTGL so let's do it again on a slightly smaller scale to better fit the scope of this series".

The difference in approach is evident just comparing the shows' final speeches. Or the two finisher moves.
KLK's ending wasn't a retreat to TTGL's one, it was consistent in themes and execution with what came before.
