Casca's mind may be gone but the soul never changes.

No matter how corrupt you are, your soul doesn't change.

That is why everytime you kill an Apostle, their soul gets dragged down to Hell in their original human form not their Apostle form.

So some soul hijinks may have to be involved to help heal Casca.
