The manga at least has the Seo factor to it for some entertainment.

The anime is basically just Seo's way of pissing us off even more by taking away the fun parts of his manga and not fixing the shit.

Fuuka dies in the manga,
MC quits music for a few months,
one of the band members graduated high school, so the others dropped to form 4 man band,
MC meets another Fuuka that is a one man band and turns out to be the daughter of the driver that killed the previous Fuuka, still falls in love with the new Fuuka
some concerts later, they form a new 5 man band and continue with more concerts to help fund their bankrupt agency,
"cake" calls in and tells them they've managed to save the agency.

that's the manga so far and spiced with little dramas here and there, like some girl pretending to be the old Fuuka, giving the MC ptsd.
