What are the point of "TWO CARD 5 QUASAR COMBO E HEROS BROKE?!" and "1 CARD 3 QUASAR AND NAT BEAST COMBO" and other convoluted combos?

Because for some odd reason, Japan has a historical tendency regarding cataloguing, sealing, summoning and controlling spirits and monsters.

Card games that have a variety of creatures have existed in Japan for some centuries and you can see how much this love of them for this kind of thing reflected into Yugioh and similar games with variety of monsters and control over them of some sort, like Pokemon for example.

I dunno why their culture makes them like it so much. Maybe it's something regarding their religion/folklore or something

The Reiji VS Reira duel was completely meaningless in the end, and pretty much did no good in both characters.
At that point I felt sorry for Reiji, as his father treated him as a second rate, his little adopted brother turned against him, and Ray didn't care about him and chooses to interact with Reira instead.

Arc-V never really explored the idea of duelist celebs themselves. Yusho and Jack are the biggest examples, but it's more like that's just part of their character descriptions.

Not saying Vrains necessarily will, but there seems to be a little more emphasis in the premise this time, since the two first duelists other than Yusaku are well-known for their VR personalities.
