Not mental gymnastics bucko. Think about it. She knows that Zouken has his familiars in her body, and can drain the power out of her at any time, because he can remote kill it whenever he wants.

So anytime she disobeys Zouken she literally has to hold her breath he doesn't push the button. No plot device jewels or holy sheath will save her from that, so she risks the most even if she personally isn't there, and actually going there is like tying herself up as a prisoner for Zouken, which would endanger Shirou further.

So she takes all the risk by sending Rider to the temple, and Shirou never knows about it. Nor is her plan assured to succeed. Unlike Rin or Saber, Sakura has a huge amount of shackles no one can protect her from, and she can't protect against because the only thing that would have prevented her power from being so shackeled is if her dad hadn't been the world's worst judge of character.

Out of all the heroines, she has the least amount of options, so saying that didn't count shows your lack of knowledge of the situation.

I enjoyed that one scene in Fate where Tohsaka kept trying to make Sakura go home and Sakura thought onee-san is trying to steal from her life again so she ignored Rin with a scowl. Meanwhile with Saber's route she conspired with Taiga for a sleepover to separate Shirou and Artoria for one night.

The caveat to that is that Sakura was right to be mad because Rin was incredibly rude about it. This was fixed after they talked privately.

With Saber the thing is that she honestly says she likes Saber after the sleepover, the majority of the reason why she was so apprehensive is because she knows Saber is a servant. But if you choose to talk to Sakura the next morning, you find out they found common ground.

Food for thought for people who think Sakura is just all jealousy.

While I mostly agree with this, particularly in the case with Archer, Nasu should note Rin's flaws as well. Particularly in the case with Sakura.

That is why I wonder how this new HF rewrite will go. There were many times that Sakura tried to bridge the gap in the estrangement of her relationship with Rin in HF, and that goes unnoted in these interviews, as Nasu only focuses on Sakura's flaws and appears to almost minimalizes her strengths at times.

So while I can agree that she did save Sakura at the end, the context of how much Rin hurt her in the journey leading up to it gives more nuance to things.

Nasu would do well to show those flaws of Rin more concretely and Sakura's strengths in a more opaque fashion I think.

I also find some irony that Nasu noted, through Ilya in the Tiger Dojo omake, that by Shirou having Rin AND Sakura by his side will prevent him from becoming Archer, so I hope that he remembers that for the HF movies.

Honestly, she even helped Shinji post UBW, when she is the one who needs help and a therapist, it's ironic she ends up being the one to help one of the people who abused her. She is single and doesn't seem to really be that devastated. But that might just be Nasu sweeping her problems under the rug to make HF more of a surprise.

So she proved she isn't completely reliant on being with Shirou to find some modicum of happiness. People tend to misinterpret the fact that in HF Normal, besides losing him, she was facing a truckload of other shit mentally and emotionally.

Well, technically speaking, the Ionian Greeks were a particular tribe, kind of like Dorian or Aeolic Greeks (or the Achaeans - the four tribes of Greeks were Dorians, Aeolians, Ionians, and Achaeans). Ionians were in particular from the Ionian coastline and around modern day Turkey, but also from Attica (Athens traced heritage to the Ionians) and elsewhere throughout the Aegean.

Takeuchi fucked up back then, because Iri and Sakura are supposed to similiar in curviness (they even allude to this in Hollow, where Ilya gives Sakura one of Iri's gowns when she decides to let her and Shirou have a palace date at her castle).

Sakura was supposed to be very stacked, but for some reason, Takeuchi made her average at best back then, even when Shirou describes her as having mondo melons.

Compare his old pictures of Sakura to the new illustration he did for the HF manga, it's night and day.
