Not him but it's certainly a trend. Just because there were only 7 or so isekais that aired recently doesn't mean that we need more of that. Especially since most of them are rather like SAO, Grimgar, Overlord, Log Horizon and shit and not like Youjo Senki, Drifters and so on that have at least a different setting and premise.

I still think that isekai can be really good though, the point is that they should just stop with this "game that actually became real for everyone" shit and rather do something more original. Or make characters at least react to the change. Most of them are just okay with the rebirth or coma and the real world gets barely ever mentioned again.
That said, those fujo/otaku bait series with 0 plot or pseudo harems are still worse than isekai will ever be.
