I was thinking about a fruit that lets the user change the flavor of anything. The trick is that the changes are actual chemical changes, albeit limited to flavorful edible compounds.

The user can abuse this by using it on his own body. By removing Fizzyness (CO2) from his blood and muscles and adding sweetness (glucose) and gaminess (hemoglobin) he can basically mimic gear 2 without the side effects. By removing tanginess (lactic acid) from his muscles and adding spiciness and mintiness (capcaicin and menthol) he can basically make himself immune to pain

On top of that he can make the air spicy making it painful for the enemy to breathe, or add fizziness to give them narcosis., and if he wants to kill someone he can carbonate their blood stream to give them an air embolism

Honestly I wasn't even interested in OP until I saw a youtube clip of flamingo's and Luffy's Conquerors Haki clashing. I watched a few more clips of their fight and I decided that I wanted to watch all the way up to that point. I skipped all the filler though. I enjoyed watching it all even though some parts were weak and the pacing was off. It felt like I was a part of Luffy's journey which was cool.

Personally, no. I just think the manga is great. There's even a digitally coloured version. It's fantastic. The anime is objectively trash from the Timeskip onwards. It was amazing in the beginning and people will tell you it went to shit in Thriller Bark but no. It only became absolute dog shit after the Timeskip. It was incredibly noticeable and off-putting.

What I'm trying to say is that Iwant you to enjoy the whole package.

I think just the TS itself screwed up a lot regardless of the quality of the arcs themselves. There was a hell of a lot of momentum and flow to OP before that.

Like, pretty much from entering the Grand Line to the TS there was this sense of continuity and overlap. Reverse Mountain flows with events, side characters and subplots into Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island (with new events and sublots introduced throughout, like Ace looking for BB), Alabasta, Jaya, Skypiea, LRLL, W7, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, etc.

The TS just stopped it all and took away the momentum and sense of overlap and intertwined narrative. But then it did start its own running-on events with TB flowing into DR into Zou into WCI. Interestingly, it's as its built up several layers of momentum with the continuing stuff (like the Jap guys spanning across several arcs, and Carrot) it's started to actually get good again.

The most likely scenario is it doesn't sell as well because of the terrible quality being shit advertising for merch so they cut animation budgets, since the animators/artists aren't paid as well they rush to finish the task as fast as possible since I doubt they're paid for overtime.
When if One Piece finishes I'd like to see the anime restart at a higher quality, it really doesn't deserve the trash it's getting right now.

Here's how the plan fails. Pudding shooting sanji is the excecution signal. She intends to tell him her plan and kill him while he recoils in horror. Sani knows what's up and doesn't react so pudding is surprised and doesn't shoot. Sanji doesn't dodge the bullet which ends up not being fired and so the wedding proceeds as normal and nobody has any idea what the fuck is going on.

What actually going to happen is luffy's entrance happens too soon and he crashes the wedding accidentally smashing the picture mama instead of crying goes beserk and she takes out her own allies in a blind rage. It's also potentially relevant that he saw some earplug last chapter and might wear them and not hear a damn thing.

If I had to guess, for them to both come to fruition, the earplugs stop him from hearing the actual gunshot but when BM opens the box that explodes, it's loud enough that he hears that. So Oda gets to delay Luffy by him having limited hearing but still get him to arrive at some point by having an incredibly loud bang that overpowers the earplugs.
