The manga is alright but it's actually far too early to tell if it's gonna be great. Frankly, the shift of focus away from just killing titans to this mystery-political-conspiracy shit, not sure that would sit well with people looking for an action series.
And good adpation? The anime was good for the first 6 or so episodes and then they ran out of budget and it looks like ass for the most part, not sure I'd call that good.

Why? Uzumaki is literally the only horror manga in existence that is genuinely scary. Some other works of Ito come close to being scary as well, but the first two chapters of Uzumaki are the only manga-related things that ever managed to make me unable to sleep for a night.
