It's interesting, because the only time we've really seen Kaminari's potential was the one time nobody was watching: The fight with flesh-guy during the hero license exam.
It was being surveyed manually, as proven when Gale took out 100 examinees without the announcer even knowing.
Bakugou and Kirishima were both rolled up into balls as well when Kaminari suddenly showed how strong (and smart, since he had the entire fight planned out) he actually is, turning the fight into his favour the moment he was alone, something neither Bakugou or Kirishima could do (even though both are considered stronger/better than him by his peters).
Immediately after the two came back he went back to his "normal" self and acted scared and confidenseless.
I'm pretty sure this was the only time he didn't job or go retarded in a fight as well.

One of the reasons I really want kaminari to be the traitor is partially because the thought of him being an actual lightning wielding villain all along instantly would raise the stakes of the whole manga from 0 to 200.

Autism Guy here. I lean more towards Aoyama as the traitor than Denki, since Aoyama has a really weird chapter in the Provisional Test too.

Ultimately it depends on how you see the traitor. If you view them as a badass edgelord, then sure, "Just pretending to be retarded" Kaminari fits the bill. But if you view the traitor as a rather pathetic figure who is only the traitor because the villains have substantial emotional leverage over him, it's Aoyama.

Really the only suspicious thing about Denki is how he finds Stain "cool" - but that would really just make him a villain after the fact. Stain as a meme only influences people to join the League after his arc, naturally. Aoyama on the other hand has foreshadowing for being a traitor from the start.

After thinking about what you said, I'm convinced that Deku will actually become #1 in that he'll defeat Shigaraki/OfA but suffer an AM-esque wound or die in the process, allowing his classmates to create a society in which there is no pillar, but a strong organization of heroes or something. Horikoshi writes darker than any of us are willing to let on, and the fact that he's shown Overhaul is strong enough to explode anyone he fucking wants, I'm convinced that we'll enter an "age of villains" arc or something of that sort where AM actually dies and the eight precepts fight for control over the villain association with stain helping out the heroes. This might all be shitty headcanon, but that arc would be fucking amazing if it happened.

And yet, almost right off the bat, we're thrown into Twice's life and see the VA/Precepts murdering others. Then we see Magne get btfo and establish that Chisaki actually fucking kills people. And now, we find out that AM's death flag never went away, so AfO purposely letting him live makes sense because he wanted Shigaraki to deal the last blow and come into his own. If AM doesn't die within the next two arcs, I will literally drop this manga, because right now is the time for Horikoshi to show his dark storytelling and stop writing on his "vertical" axis as he calls it and start actually progressing the plot.

That's the million dollar question.

Here in the story we have Deku, the MC, who now can't smash with his fists anymore lest he never be able to use his arms again.

Now we have a dude who can fix that.

From a narrative standpoint, it would stand to reason that the latter would heal the former at some point. I mean, why else would you have them there? It's so obvious! But then again, this isn't Shallow Shonen XYZ. I think it'll be brought up at some point.

There's the definite possibility that Deku will learn it's possible, but also learn (again) that life isn't fair and not get healed. But what would be the purpose storywise?

My take is that if Deku gets healed via OH, it won't happen until his second of third year. This would be way too early for it. Also that it would happen after he has to use the arm smashes one last time, rendering them "unusable forever".

OH did say he thinks the fall of All for One is much more significant to him than the fall of One for All. Maybe he gets so sick his villain enemies he uses Deku to take them out. Maybe there's a battle between OH and the villians, and OH is near death as the heroes arrive. OH then heals Deku for revenge.

Generally I doubt it will happen though, it's too convenient.

That's a false premise. Deku's arms aren't super fucked, they're just damaged and need to heal/rehab. Even then he can still use them with cowl, he just can't do the 100000% smash anymore (by anymore I mean 2-3 more times). This was basically done so that he'd destinguish himself from All Might. Reversing that so quickly (it's going to resolve itself anyway) would defeat the point of even making it an issue

Oh yeah, here's something I noticed rereading some chapters.

Notice how Mirio's in the ground?

It seemed normal enough when we first saw it, but now it's kinda weird. He's in the DIRT, why isn't he bethesda glitching?

Maybe there's some tunnels underground we don't know about, and he's solid on the other side (and standing on a ladder or something).

I think he knows about One for All. I think Sir Nighteye was prepping him and got megabutthurt when All Might didn't give it to Mirio, and then hired Midoriya purely in hope of stealing OfA for Mirio. I also predict he's going to lie and make a fake prediction that Deku is going to give his powers to Mirio to get inside his head.

I have no evidence for any of this.

Also, purely a thought...I think Mirio would suck shit with OfA. OfA gets stronger per generation, and the last two holders started out quirkless, meaning they could devote every ounce of time and energy to that difficult to master and extremely dangerous quirk.

Mirio might make a good vessel, but he'd be overconfident and straight-up blow his limbs off with it, I think. Most people would. That, or progress so slowly their development in OfA and their base quirk would be limited. Jack of all trades, master of none, essentially.
