I really impressed by this and I thought you might have dropped it after I seen the WIP becuase of how complicated it would be to draw, but am really glad you didn't.
I really love this idea and didn't really think of this when I requested naked apron, but this is a way cuter way to go about it with her. I am honestly just blown away by the amount of detail that went into the machinery and it's almost like you were going off actual schematics. It's hard to put into words how impressed I am by this and I really find seeing these kind of things really neat with her.

Its easy to spot yourself getting ripped off, but too many people think that commissions should be less than $50 at max, which is flipping it so that the artist is getting ripped off. First hint, something that should be super obvious, but for many artists is still a mystery: for the love of god, talk to me. Communicate. Answer messages. If something happens that will slow you down, tell me. Just seeing you care to keep me informed about the situation makes me more tolerant to commission process length and other things.

Second, sometimes some small details aren't important, sometimes there is that one detail I love and want included. So include it. If, for example, I make a note that I want cute fingernails, that means I want to see them. Ignoring them or drawing a gesture that hides them is not what I was going for.

That's true. If someone calls out an artist for being bad, is wrong, there would probably be someone else that would step up and say otherwise. I wish there was a way for people to say good experiences too. But people will always complain about the bad experiences than share the good ones.

I'm all for it now that I think about it. Sharing experiences and cross referencing them. It might make artists more motivated to do well too.

It sounds like you know what you want but a protip to some people:
Word your stuff correctly. If you say "cute fingernails are nice", you might want to change that to "I want her to have cute fingernails" like what this anon said. If you make it sound like you could live without a detail, I won't bother or worry to much if I forget it.
You'd think that'd be a given but so many people I've talked with for commissions make things sound like they don't care too much about a particular thing and then catch a fit or come back for revisions when this could have been avoided in the beginning.

I'd think if they mentioned any particular piece of clothing or smaller detail they'd want particular focus on it if nothing else was mentioned. I understand your point though.
