Time to get back to the show's roots.
I don't think, that's a good idea...
Damn, wrong link.
Will we ever be able to stop this レズ?
I want to squeeze this squeaky toy.

This image is also a parody, of Girls und Panzer.
I'm having fun just reading that.
Well fuck me, I forgot to open the damn webum.
Humans are truly the most vile animals.
What kind of game do people think would best suit KF?
I was thinking something like a 3D platformer where you would explore the world and meet new friends and you could have a few with you in a party that follows and you would swap between them or combo with them to access new areas to explore. Action-combat like Spyro the Dragon or Ratchet and Clank or something.
Wat? Not that guy but it's はしら, so literally pillar. Not a door frame, and definitely not a support beam. Hell, how would she even reach the latter anyway? Nip homes tend to have a bunch of wooden pillars for structural support.
>Zoo Tycoon with Friends
>yfw opening lion enclosure and watching Lion Friends snuggle and play with the park visitors
A japanese person is making a VR Kemono Friends. I don't know if he's just playing around with it or not, but it looked pretty neat. Unfortunately I cant justify paying $800 just to try VR, nor do i know anyone who has VR.
>Unfortunately I cant justify paying $800 just to try VR, nor do i know anyone who has VR.
tfw i bought a graphics card only to realize its literally the most advanced graphics card that can't run VR.
I would be tempted to buy a vr headset otherwise.
>literally the most advanced graphics card that can't run VR
Damn and I nearly forgot you need a powerful setup just to run VR too.
If only I was rich or had a good paying job, sigh.
I'm a Friend who's always broke
A GTX970 is recommended for the Vive because you can get motion sickness if the framerate is less than 90fps. You could mess around with it with a weaker card, but actual use would be ... vomit comet.
Tried it for one hour at a friend's and felt sick afterwards, nothing for me.
VR requires a lot of thought about scene composition to avoid this. This is why the new Resident Evil game that supports VR takes place all indoors with lots of tight hallways—motion sickness is best avoided when moving through areas slowly and with constrained POV.
So a KF VR game would probably be the worst use currently, as it would be wide open areas potentially with sprinting around and jumping if you were using Serval etc.
>Prairie is both dominant and subservient at the same time.
a friend of mine told me that motion sickness is worse when on an "on rails" video than when you can control the movement yourself.
I'm not super interested in most vr video games anyways, mostly just for flight sims and porn
Did anyone previously notice that normal animals still exist in the park?
I think that's how it was in the game too. They haven't explicitly mentioned it in the anime but it would make sense if there were still some animals that haven't been transformed.
if your eyes say to your brain "I'm moving" and your inner ear says "no I'm not", your brain goes "fuck, must be poisoned, time for puking".
higher framerates make the likelyhood of triggering motion sickness far worse than lower ones because smoother video dominating your vision is more likely to trigger that kind of eye-and-ear disagreement.
VR is like... the worst place to be trying to have super high ultra smooth framerates, as regards motionsickness, since the whole point is to be feeding the video to the viewer's eyes with no distractions.
Well, how would new Friends show up after every eruption if there weren't any animals around?
I wonder if transformed Friends feel anything towards normal versions of their species
I think I need to remind you how cute Serval is.
Lucid dreams are shit and not worth learning.
If you are just between sleep and awareness you get mild auditory hallicunations and a very simple dream that just feels like you can picture things easier.
bit deeper and you get a simple dream you have full control of yourself in your dream but not the dream itself, feels like blurry shit.
next level you basically figure out you are sleeping while inside a dream and since you are at this point technically awake your brain will try to get you to kill yourself to wake up.
t. lucid dream master onna-san
the reason why I want it for flight sims, is that I am an amateur pilot, and muscle memory is a huge part of flying. and vr is the cheaper option instead of building your own cockpit set up. especially since it works for different cockpits.
a joystick throttle set up even with a lot of options will just build bad habits.
The reason why I want it for porn is because
Vr is actually really cool for giantess porn
Since there are ex-predator friends, there must still be predators around? Looking at how friends get their abilities boosted, animals don't seem to be a threat to them. But Kaban could actually get eaten by some tiger.
Do chimps feel anything towards humans?
next level you basically figure out you are sleeping while inside a dream and since you are at this point technically awake your brain will try to get you to kill yourself to wake up.
I've literally never had this happen.
I want to sleep in a friend pile and never wake up
Fun fact: Ningen Friend is the only Friend that can successfully mate with humans.
It's a 24/7 job monitoring threads and pixiv to not miss out on anything. I would do Twitter too but I have to draw a line somewhere
>aye-aye Friends are called Daubentoniidae Friends
>cheetah Friend is really called Acinonyx Friend
>sumatran rhino is called Dicerorhinus Friend
>Asiatic elephant Friend is really called Elephas Friend
I really don't think it's just inorganic material. In that case there would be a shit load more ceruleans.
And besides, even shit like metal/grass/etc has millions of micro organisms on it. I still believe ceruleans are just giant bacteria
A hypothesis has to be replicable in order to survive scrutiny. So i guess we're going to have to do a bit of peer review and experimentation on our own with a large sample size and with various types of friends.
Only way to be sure.
I wonder if it'll be some kind of pollution analogy. Though I'm not sure how garbage would find its way up a mountain. Bacteria would make sense, but there'd need to be some kind of catalyst for it or else the park would be fucked if just any bacteria could cause it.
Bossu would never hurt the park, they're too cute.
Now I am going full speculation here, but ceruleans, based on their name and appearance, are probably a single cellular organism. Making a cell is complicated, so probably only some form of inorganic stuff can become a cell. You need some form of cellular wall, for once.
They are calibrated to infect earth? maybe.
they only tend to kill their host when the host in question isn't what they're supposed to live in, because they are too simple to know the difference and what just makes one host sick can kill a different host.
Reminder that Boss has an in-built recording device.
Mirai wouldn't have said they had to evacuate the entire park if they didn't.
Pretty much every Friend tells Kaban to run away from Ceruleans immediately.
Then there's the fact Serval killed one without hesitation.
They're 100% bad news.
Yeah sure but in none of the media have they ever killed anyone. In the game they just took away peoples "shine" which is like their memories and personality and potentially left them in a coma and their shine couldn't be recovered.
>Everything's going to end in 5 minutes

That's..worse than death
My wife Toki, whom I had passionate sex with all day yesterday and ended up impregnating is both a cute girl and a wonderful singer!
I'm gonna go with this too. Sandstar would be constantly making contact with inorganic material. Seems more likely it reacts to microorganisms in some way. It would also explain why there's a higher amount of ceruleans around sulfur.
Here, professor. I cook something for you.
I think, it's gonna blow...
So sitting right next to it, is not a good idea...

I was thinking along the lines of eraTW which is pretty much
Now that I think of it, though, maybe just Animal Crossing.
Cool, passion and pure beasts don't become Cerulean.
I'm not sure if they -never- kill. It's said they were going after the shine of things, but there's at least one line in the game in the big exposition chapter where Mirai references them taking them taking the shine from their "food".
True, which is kinda what I meant when I said it reacts to microorganisms in some way. Maybe sandstar's effects on microorganisms aren't as straightforward as its effects on other organisms and specific conditions need to be met for it to react with them? Like certain temperatures or chemicals to be present? Or maybe it just reacts with certain unique individuals? (Do microorganisms even have any unique traits among individuals?)

Is it Kaban singing?
You are really trying to be as hopeful as you possibly can be aren't you? The situation in the anime isn't the same. If anything, it's turned out to be worse than how it's played out in the game.
Manga Serval seems more subdued but maybe that's because she's used to the things around her as opposed to anime Serval getting to discover new things every episode
In the game you defeat the Cerulean Queen and become director of the Park. Totally different from the anime timeline. It seems more like you fail to defeat anything in the game part of the timeline in the anime and humans just leave instead.
How can I breed with Toki?
I don't think you can explain it as any sort of reliable physical phenomenon. It's magic space dust that turns animals into cute girls.
I mean, say it turns rocks into ceruleans. What size of rock? How does it determine how much stone makes a "rock"? Even what defines a single animal isn't that clear, as creatures are full of bacteria needed for digestion. It's magic.
Rude, lazy, pig fox
First into the sandstar volcano
Some friends are really expecting the worst for Mirai.
Is it wrong to be hopeful? Anyway, I was saying that even if in the game Bosses were turned into Friends by Sandstar, it doesn't mean it will be the same way in the anime. It was stated in the anime that Cerulians are probably sanstarred inorganic matter and Boss is most likely a robot, so it can't be turned into Friend.
She didn't die in the manga or game if they are the same Serval and our Serval said there can be more than one Friend of a single animal so they could easily be coexisting right now with Mirai and other Serval elsewhere.
Let me postulate a theory. The glowing orange boss in the episode preview this week is a live transmission from Mirai and other Serval who have been living underground in hiding somewhere in Japari Park since getting overrun by Ceruleans when the rest of the people escaped.
What if once Friends got eaten by Ceruleans you could change them back with a simple shot of Sandstar like in this pic? Wouldn't be so dark after all, except the whole probably losing all your memories thing.
This bit mentioned by Racoon has seemingly been entirely dropped. Ties it up nicely.
Because she couldn't protect her friend.
Not even close.
But the fact that they made the "detective" useless, was a pretty nice touch.
It's weird how this of all the shows this season got the best fanart
>our Serval said there can be more than one Friend of a single animal
Serval sounded uncertain about that. Subs were specifically "I guess sometimes there are multiple Friends of the same species", which suggests she didn't necessarily know this beforehand and was merely postulating.
At least, that's assuming CR isn't complete shit with subs.
This idea sounds the game Space Station Silicon Valley, there's different biomes you explore and you have to make use of different animal's traits to reach the end of the level. Quite fun.
But at the price of a sad Hakase? They should both be happy.
Simple, we just get the Japari bus to explode on him.
I don't see the problem with it. Surely they wouldn't have included the same characters across multiple iterations of the series if they didn't want you to theorize at all.
It's not like they ever really explained what Sandstar, the Ceruleans, etc. are exactly so you can't definitively rule out what can and can't happen.
There are already obvious incompatibilities with the way Ceruleans work in the game and anime.
-The player character doesn't seem to exist in the anime universe either.
-Nobody has said anything about the park director in the anime
-No mention of previously key locations like Japari Central.
-No hints about the Cerulean Queen existed/exists
-Nobody knows about Cerval.
-The inorganic and organic thing was not part of the game
-The Ceruleans being attracted to humans thing.
-It sounds like other people came to the Island with Mirai in her memos to save the park you and here are the only humans appearing the game
-Ceruleans take peoples "shine" in the game not mentioned at all
-Ceruleans come in all shapes and sizes in the game
Of course the monkey has a staff.
I always forget that the Japanese can't resist the Journey to the West references.
I'd love it if the whole episode were Chinese lit-based and we got a bunch of Three Kingdoms Friends, though.
I want to make new friends with these friends
Her line closer to "Apparently...", "They say..." or "I heard that...", rather than "I guess...". Essentially, it implies she's saying that based on some previous knowledge, not just deducing it from the current situation like CR's "I guess..." seems to imply. So yeah, CR is shit as usual, but there is some degree of doubt in Serval's line.
>The player character doesn't seem to exist
>Nobody has said anything about the park director
>No mention of Japari Central
>No hints about the Cerulean Queen
>Nobody knows about Cerval
>Ceruleans take peoples "shine" not mentioned
Just because nobody mentioned them doesn't mean they couldn't have conceivably happened. If, say, 100 years passed between the game timeline and the anime timeline, would everyone still remember everything that happened? Would they then be able to explain it all to Kaban (and the viewer) when they clearly don't understand much of their situation themselves?
You're right that there's some details missing in one iteration or the other, like with Ceruleans having more shapes in the game and the organic/inorganic thing. But honestly since so much is left unexplored with how Ceruleans and Sandstar work you could simply say "they evolved" and it would be impossible to refute.
It's just fun to imagine the possibilities.
O-oh wow, talk about a coincidence. Requested a similar piece in the drawfag thread something like a week ago I believe, but with Stalker as base.
I hope Goodsmile makes a nendo bossu, or at least have him as an accessory for Serval
seeing serval cry is like a fucking punch in the face
Nearly, but not quite.
If you're stood still whilst you're "stood still", then your eyes and ears are in perfect agreement.
Unless your frame latency is too high, then whenever you move your head it makes the world move, and makes you throw up. You can experience this effect without a VR headset by closing one eye, then moving your other eye around by (gently!) pushing its cornea through your eyelid.
You need extremely low latency for VR to not lurch like this, and latency is the inverse of framerate. I guess you could intentionally lower the framerate by blanking alternate frames, but what would be the point? Having hit the latency target, the framerate is free.
This. And even if they're not directly canon to one another, it's still fun to assume that events similar, while not necessarily identical, to that of the game happened prior to the anime.
I once tried out a system that used vibration to fool the inner ear into feeling g-forces. It would be the perfect thing to match with VR, but I've never heard of the system in the 10+ years since I saw it demo'd. I always wonder why it disappeared.
I'd rather operate with best birb but I'd keep kaban around for the extra inventory space.
Does anyone have a high res version of all the friends?
I dunno that that much time could have passed though. Some Friends even know where humans were last seen for example. It's just o me rather than trying to fit everything in one timeline when in my opinion almost everything points to them being separate with some major overlap ignores the most obvious explanation.
open world rpg where you place habitats near each other.
Savanna = 2 Earth Essence
Jungle = 2 Earth Essence + 3 Water Essence
Let's say Snow Area has an unlockable where if it has 4 earth essence, certain kinds of friend would appear there like Reindeers.
now we just need to combine it with this to create the ultimate comic
I want to see >>154696638 and this otter playing together.
That line seems to be just a commentary on the game (the Cerulians are never shown killing, and so there isn't a sense of crisis), not a direct statement from the game about them not killing.
For what's worth, in the 2nd story,
Caracaloutright orders Cerulians to execute the player's party. Although obviously they're beaten and no one dies aside from the Cerulians. The 2nd story is kind of weird though, since the ending leaves Serval thinking that it was just a dream while there's a scene at the ending hinting that it wasn't, but not outright confirming it, so it's ambiguous.
I wish I knew more about cellular biology, it would be interesting to know what the ceruleans actually are. I would guess they are inorganic protozoa, but they don't seem to have a nucleus or any form of organize cell structure, so maybe they are some form of prokaryote.
Serval will be eaten by a Cerulean, but will be revived by Sandstar without her memories. Show ends with Kaban welcoming her to Japari Park like Serval did to Kaban in the first episode.
This kind of stuff is really interesting. I wish someone with this level of detailed knowledge would write up a decent length summary of the game with some depth to it and stick it on a pastebin or something. All I have seen is stuff like this for a couple of plots and really basic outlines of the entire story.
I imagine that the owls have yet to realize that their necks and eyes are now the opposite from when they were animals. One day they will try to turn their necks to see something but can't and then flip their shit when they realized their eyes went instead.
Serval is Cerval.
How else are you supposed to interpret them bringing up how Ceruleans can think that they're friends without realizing what they are, and Serval crying when she sees Mirai and her previous self.
They brought it up because they knew people would theorize about it. The anime isn't shy about giving the viewers interesting stuff to think about, and they know people are adding game canon to the story. Doesn't mean that's how it's going to end.
Current serval cried because both of them were her friends.
She recognized her friends voice but years of pretending to be a friend made her think she is one and wiped her memories of her past when she was a cerulean.
>PrairiexBeaver happy slappy
>MoosexLion horizontal battles
I am more pleased than I expected.
what about reverse shoebill
That's a parody of a TV show.
Two dishes are served. They have to taste them and guess which is the expensive one ( meat/wine/ etc..)
The fun point is they often choose the cheap one.
>and Serval crying when she sees Mirai and her previous self
Old Serval was eaten by a Cerulan after telling Mirai to leave the island, reverting her to an animal form. Sandstar hit her again, giving her a new personality with none of her old memories, but faint recallings of Mirai stayed in her tiny cat brain, and those resurfaced after Serval saw her past self.
Cerval won't show up.
Margay's so cute. I would become a Friend just to have a chance with her.
except by the end of the game story she didn't have to pretend, she had become a Friend. which was the entire reason that the queen lost, because she didn't have Fake Serval to steal Serval's protagonist mojo and enable her to break oinari-sama's barrier. having become Cerval, she helped defeat the queen instead.
Cerval came to be a true friend.
Reminder that this is not a Friend! She is a dangerous, bloodthirsty Cerulean hellbent on the destruction of Japari Park. If spotted, report to your nearest Lucky Beast and run away.
She's only guilty of stealing Japari bun.
Cerulean doppelgangers can't beat the original
Just another thing I noticed in support of them hiding. It is suggested to Mirai that she should hide. Maybe she chose that instead of leaving the Island.
