When I first saw Nanoha, I really enjoyed the intelligent devices. RH and Bardiche were cool in not only having a voice/personality, but also having their own transformation sequence. When I saw A's. I fell in love. The new transformations and cartridge system was great and to me, an interesting and novel concept. I also liked how the Belkan devices spoke German to contrast the regular ones in English
Are there any other types of magical devices in other anime? It seems like a unique idea but I could be wrong. And what would be a good idea for a new device?
Not even Nanoha has them anymore.
>Are there any other types of magical devices in other anime?
yes. sort of, for the most part.
>And what would be a good idea for a new device?
Is 2nd A's worth it if I already watched A's?
I watched 1st but liked the series more than the movie.
The kaleidosticks are not really what I had in mind. While its the same base concept, Ruby/Sapphire feel more like actual characters in bodies of sticks. Raising Heart had character, but she is a device first and foremost. Also dat machinery and cartridge loading
>can't even link properly
>discussion and theorycrafting is now a gaia thing
Sorry wrong file.
Lost interest in Nanoha since it began to decline, though the movies did reignite my interest a couple years back. Haven't been able to get through Vivid, unfortunately. I hope Reflection is good. I wish Tsuzuki cared more about Nanoha rather than his kemono fechi isekai show.
Nanoha and Fate are the exact opposite of sluts.
Oh, so we're starting the shitposting early this time. Sure, I'm down with that.
I know! I especially liked the upgrades with the cartridge system. It nicely blended together the concept of "mages use staves" with the technomagic aspect of Nanoha. It seemed like something that hadn't been done before
Yadda yadda, lolis are creepy, God Emperor Tsuzuki and his epic timeskips, Vivid is good, this and that, etc, etc.
I think that's all. How about some Nanoha now?
Intelligent Devices are the coolest and I want my own.
Also Starlight Breaker is the single coolest attack / special move in media.
The Ignite Module.
Imagine them with their BJs more like armor that fits with their device theme. Like Fate having some black armor and gauntlets, and maybe some small bardiche-shaped wings
>And what would be a good idea for a new device?
Can never have too many leopards.
Reflection will make Nanoha great again.
Just finished rewatching Strikers. Everything is just as I remembered: significantly worse pacing than A's and weaker antagonists in exchange for much better protagonists and greater payoff.
The best part about the devices is their godly loyalty.
They were more than just machines, they were partners for the most part.
When Fate was in despair, Bardiche, despite his damaged state, tried his hardest to cheer her up in his own way and remind her that he is always there for her.
When Nanoha and her friends were in danger and the only way out was for Nanoha to use SLB, RH told Nanoha to fire despite the risk of RH being destroyed from firing SLB.
When Subaru went berserk and basically destroyed Mach Caliber, Mach Caliber's response to her apology was an apology to Subaru for not being able to support her even when she went berserk.
When Subaru gave up against fighting Ginga, Mach Caliber reminded her that they could still fight and that what Subaru told Mach Caliber very early on was right, it pleaded with her to continue fighting and not make everything a lie.
When Vita was alone in the Cradle's engine room, trying her hardest to destroy the engine, Graf Eisen just did its job. Its master is heavily wounded and Eisen is heavily damaged. Vita is still trying her hardest to destroy it. What did Eisen do? It responded with JA WOHL and continued to support her even though Vita could die there and Eisen could be destroyed.
Fuck anon just remembering all that gives me chills. Reminds me of one of the many reasons I fell in love with it. I do enjoy Vivid but I wish Tsuzuki would just realise what made the series great in the first place.
I'm pretty funny myself
It's like you're not even trying.
Vivid Strike is pretty good.
Kill yourself, my man. The first episodes are the very definition of Mahou Shoujo episodic content. Even if Nanoha doesn't fight Fate just yet, she acts like a true Mahou Shoujo and the episodic content allow her to develop more and more as she has to get rid of the troubles created by the Gems.
VS is a spin off of a spin off of a spin off, with a brand new MC.
That would be nice but I have a feeling they wouldn't do it justice.
How many tries do you need to post the real one, fags?
I do. I also want adult mode Einhart and Vivio to enter the battle in Force. I know it's probably not going to happen but I like them.
I'd rather they animate Innocent and have the cooler version of Vivio.
Innocent made Nanoha and Fate a VR computer game NEWBS. Not even aces, but anyway, that is kinda offending. I can still read it and enjoy stuff, but it has all sorts of just wrong elements.
Yeah, like, does it even realise it's supposed to dissolve the panties and bra? I bet it doesn't.
But to be fair it's still a little kitten. Needs more sempaing.
I'll be honest, I just want to see this animated.
Rinne is such a loser, I don't know why Fuuka puts up with her,
You know, >so soft and so on
No, she is Einhart's mom. Fuuka is their pet dog.
She's going to marry into a rich family though, so all is gonna be daijoubu.
Hooray for updates.
Einhart and Fuuka would rather use their super special style than the one Nove's teaching, Vivio is the only one there who's actually using it, Nove might as well not even train them
Cute clothes fit for a king.
Einhart's style seems to be the most effective.
I finished Strikers earlier today. I haven't felt bad for an anime ending in a long time, a lot of characters grew on me, Tia and Subaru especially.
My only problem was the slide show ending, they should have spent another 13 episodes to give Nanoha the ending it deserved instead of a simple powerpoint presentation.
Fuuka will probably surpass Ein since she has the god hand.
I wonder if it's too late for Nanoha to unadopt and have a natural child with Fate. At least Nanoha and Fate's kid has a chance of greatness through relation.
As a person who's been practicing martial arts his whole life, I can honestly say that after you reach a certain skill cap all the styles just start to blend together. The stronger, faster and more skilled you get the less your style actually matters. There's punches, kicks, blocks, locks, throws and deflects. And you use those in the best possible way to counter your opponent's punches, kicks, blocks, locks, throws and deflects.
A certain deflect is best for stopping a certain kick. A certain kick is best for beating a certain punch. etc etc. After a certain point, all the styles just start merging into one because they'll all end up using the best possible counter for whatever said technique they're trying to block is.
All this is to say, Fuuka and Einhart are mostly likely past that point where a style truly matters.
>Fuuka and Einhart are mostly likely past that point where a style truly matters
Fuuka is just starting out so she is trying out all sort of things and doesn't really know what she can and cannot do yet. Einhart is certainly past that point, though. It said here that she is an all rounder who just has a special liking for striking people.
Both Nanoha and Fate are stronger than Vivio, a child of their own would likely be even stronger.
I know this might be bad place to ask considering the obvious bias, but is Nanoha actually good? What type of series it is and what makes it special? Is it geared towards some specific audience and what kind of mindset you need to watch it?
It's not that good, the first two season were the best and it has been going downhill since then. If you like the idea of little girls befriending other little girls through superior firepower and unwavering love, and some scifi elements, go watch the the first movie or the first season.
I like it, It's a fun watch with lots of cool shit.
First season needs a bit of patience (not wanting huge oomphs ever episode from the start), being able to stand a bit of cheap/dated digi animation. And appreciation of some stylistic weirdness and historic value of seeing the original thing instead of the polished remake (which would be the movie version).
Also fondness of good endings.
Second season is really for everybody. With the exception that you have to stomach the pedo fanservice (transformations etc) and also you must not mind the yuri subtext and or shipping amongst the fans.
It doesn't have much edge, death, "dark" stuff and so on, so if you are in for that, you might be disappointed. Not that there aren't sad moments, but ss said, it is show for people who like the plot to end up mostly happily in the end.
Its never stated but it seems that despite magic being rare on earth, the few earthlings that can use it tend to be really strong.
Nanoha was always a monster, Hayate was strong enough to tame the book, Arisa and Suzuka were strong enough to get caught in Eins barrier and Graham had two very strong familiars.
>is Nanoha actually good?
Most people will probably like the first season and A's, so watch them at least. Alternatively watch the first movie and then A's since a lot of people think the first half of the first season is slow.
>What type of series it is and what makes it special?
It's kind of Madoka before Madoka in that it laid the groundwork for male-oriented mahou shoujo. Also very instrumental in early moe-style manga/anime/etc., like Key and Kiyohiko Azuma's stuff. It blends mecha elements and power level/intelligent device autism with cute magical girl tropes and a story about all-redeeming friendship that comes in the form of large explosions. Also, cute loli.
>Is it geared towards some specific audience?
It's very much a show for people who like anime, if that makes any sense. You wouldn't show to the guy who just likes Bebop and Akira.
>what kind of mindset you need to watch it?
It's VERY late '90s/early '00s. Animation can be a bit janky. Unreconstructed cutesy moe style with enormous eyes and giant cowlicks. None of the irony we've become used to since Haruhi.
If you watch it all you get to meet Fuuka
It should have been posted in one of the past threads. Not the last shit one, but one, two or three before that. Sadly I can't recall, I think I mentioned her pants commenting it.
I had it and wanted to paste it (I did that time), but somehow it went missing. Maybe I accidentally deleted it.
Seconding this request.
These are the ones I didn't lose if it helps locate the original thread it was posted in before.
Yeah but it is not the muh deaths type of gratuitous story.
Disregard me, I found it. It just wasn't a photo but a proper scan which fooled me.
Dude you're a fucking angel, I could kiss you.
I really wish we could've gotten the first design with her long hair.
Height probably isn't what makes her sad.
She a sweetie, I bet she has positive view of the world, being flat shorttank or not. You can have a GF and kids just as well with small boobs.
And of course, another Nanoha thread taken over by the Vivid shitposters, I'm not even surprised anymore. I can't be surprised, considering what you did to Nanoha's own birthday thread to push your shit show.
Muria is so pathetic. She deserves all the bullying
One thread. Just ONE thread. But no, right?
And then I'm le big bad troll.
Even is she's stuck being eternally flat and short, she has the coolest device name.
Join in the fun and post Fuuka / Rinne, instead of those two.
We are going to have so much fun together! Almost as much fun I've had trying to discuss Nanoha after Vivid Strike fuck the entire place up!
I don't even care anymore. If you're going to be like this then why should I, right.
You do realize you are explicitly admitting to breaking the rules, right? It's obvious to everyone you're false flagging, but try to be less stupid about it.
Yes! Talking about Nanoha is against the rules now! That's why you descended into this thread and took a fat dump on it!
But we're bad boys, we can take it, right!?
You'll get to see Nanoha's face for eternity! How's that feel?
As somebody that has both brawling experience and martial arts experience that are independent of each other, a brawler that's able to apply themselves and actually learn is fully capable of skipping a few steps in the early stages of martial arts training.
The cliche about having to find your inner peace and spiritual mumbo jumbo is actually fairly accurate.
Yes, yes, I know, I know, talking about Nanoha kills threads, I know!
But a bit of fun never killed anybody, yeah?
Why are you so opposed to having fun? Fun things are fun, aren't they? And aren't you having fun? Taking this thread and fucking it in the ass with a rusty knife? I bet that's fun. You keep doing it, over and over again, you must LIKE doing it. You must derive some enjoyment from it. Hence, you think it's fun. Hence, you shouldn't be opposed to other fun things.
It's part of a doujin. I'll finish the whole thing eventually.
There's a lot of full color redrawing.
I saw it in XX.
What's up, Rinne?
I just wanted to try calling your name.
Why'd you want that? (Haha)
I just wanted to call your naaame~
Heh heh, oh really?
I mean, that'd be very silly if you had fun but at the same time said you didn't like fun.
Nah, her older form's still taller than Caro.
I think everyone's taller than Caro.
They're good friends.
>You're not talking about Nanoha
Oh, but wait! Here's the kicker:
NEITHER ARE YOU!
Why not? We are having so much fun together, guys!
At least we can all agree that this is the best thread of all time.
>oh man this thread is dying and not even about the thing i want to talk about, maybe i should just make another one
>as if, lol
Pfffft. It never gets old.
So what you're saying is that the person who actually wanted to talk about Nanoha and was talking about Nanoha before you shitposters found this thread is the one at fault for it being so F U N?
Haha, yeah I guess my fun can't be contained and leaked into this place. Sorry! I was just following your example!
Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. You are not allowed to try and ruin a thread because you think someone else ruined it first.
But of course, your actual goal here is to false flag and try to make NanoFate fans look bad. But everyone can see through that, anyway.
>Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying.
Oh of course, how dumb of me to not get that straight away. Nanohafags are the problem. Nanohafags were ALWAYS the problem. Even when there weren't any Vivid Strike fags ripping what's left of the fanbase apart, Nanohafags were still the problem.
>your actual goal here
No, my actual goal here is to have fun with you guys. You're imposing on me so I can't exactly refuse.
>But of course, your actual goal here is to false flag and try to make NanoFate fans look bad. But everyone can see through that, anyway.
Yeah, I had the impression he didn't care about NanoFate too, but I'm not going to complain if he keeps posting cute loli NanoFate pictures along his usual shitposting.
W-why did you stop replying? Did I say something un-fun by accident? Oh shit, I'm terribly sorry.
I just want to learn to be more fun, like you guys are. Then I'll apply everything I learned in the next Vivid Strike thread. It's going to be awesome, you guys just wait.
I guess I'll have to continue learning by watching. Please, continue shitting up this thread with off-topic garbage if you may.
It's pretty sad that one of the great fixtures of '00s otaku subculture has been reduced to this.
It's hated by some people and just mentioning it will usually lead to a terrible flame/shitposting. So generally it's better to not mention it around here.
The current scan quality (the important thing) is good and translation is not completely terrible anyway, IIRC, so it definitely doesn't need doing as much as other things.
Too bad Vivio doesn't fuck Einhart there, lots of wasted energy and adverse health effects could have been prevented on /a/.
Nah, the TL is worse than the typesetting. It was done by someone who does not even know Japanese. He use KanjiTomo OCR to grab the text, then used Google Translate to try and guess what's said.
Surely you meant to say "fun".
Everyone agrees with this - why, in the Nanoha birthday thread the Vivid shitposters destroyed the thread almost in its entirety and the blame still fell on those actually wanting on-topic discussion of the character the thread was about.
So, you know. That happened.
And I have to imagine there's a reason why Vivid Strike even exists to begin with. It's more fun than Reflection will be, loads more. I bet Tsuzuki is right now groaning on his keyboard, he's like "i can't fucking believe i have to make this shitty fucking movie, i'd rather have muh rinne waifu beat the shit out of these people"
Hell, that will probably be the whole plot of Movie 4th. Reflection will be a giant build up to Rinne travelling back in time in a DeLorean and beating the shit out of Nanoha, her family, Fate, Arf, Chrono, Lindy, Amy, Yuuno, Hayate, Vita, Signum, the other Wolkenritter who nobody gives a shit about, it's a Nanoha's past killing stravaganza and everyone's invited.
Why aren't you telling off the NanoFate shippers for spamming crack as well?
It's the best kind of device. Who cares about shit like Bardiche and Graf Eisen, right? They are so fucking boring! All devices should be shitty plushies! They are so much more fun and Nanoha-killing in comparison, it's not even a contest.
>posting that old meme
Einhart got herself a real woman now.
I agree but loli Fate was an SS+ semen demon
Yes, I also enjoy the things that ruined Nanoha! How did you know?
I don't have the Yumina one and besides, I made that one.
I won't forget the good times when Einhart was Hegemon Ingvalt and knew what panties to aim for, just because the producers got crazy a year or two back.
I'd like to think that the newer devices are related to the newer characters that have them not having to fight huge threats.
I mean, Nanoha, Fate, and the rest all have practical, compact devices that turn into weapons and other stuff for their trade, and can be easily upgraded. This reflects their status as military and defenders and fighters, routinely engaging in life-or-befriending combat to the finish.
Einhardt, Vivio, and Fuuka don't have this. They have plushies. They don't engage in life-threatening fights on a regular basis, and don't need weapons because their fights never really go far beyond empowered fisticuffs. They have less imposing and practical devices because their need for it is minimal at best.
Why does Rinne have an object-oriented Device, then? She's an edgy tryhard that sees herself as a fighter. It's still not a proper Device that turns into a weapon, though, outing her as basically an edgy poser. Like those kids that call themselves samurai because they own a dull katana replica that they swing at trees sometimes.
At this point we've got shitposters shitposting about shitposters shitposting about others posting shit they don't personally like, and I don't know which way is up anymore.
Can you fuel a SLB with raw shitposting?
Yeah you love seeing Nanoha being defanged and degraded into garbage, we got you the first time.
>This is also the Nanoha series, not triangle heart.
What does that matter? Nanoha is the same character in both series. Just because your NanoFate fanfiction isn't canon doesn't mean it doesn't show the character's feelings as week. In fact, by having Chrono marry Amy, it just goes to show how the series and it's fanbase became complete trash after the original.
But I guess it doesn't count as crackshit when you like the ship personally.
>moving the conversation away from NanoFate being crackshit to some shitposter because you have no argument otherwise
I'm sorry the truth hurts.
>NanoFate is canon
Fucking delusional yurifags.
Discussing non-Nanoha shit in the Nanoha thread is perfectly acceptable, though. I mean, just look at this thread.
>Fucking delusional yurifags.
That's ironic coming from the delusional Nanoha hater. Also being a yurifriend if pretty much a prerequisite to watch this series, but you wouldn't know that since you have shown to know nothing about the franchise.
I miss when we talked about Nanoha in our Nanoha threads.
Again, more assumptions and mental gymnastics about my character to justify why you shouldn't have to argue with me. If I'm wrong, prove it instead of screeching about how I'm not "arguing in good faith".
Of course not. Before that fateful day, we could have Nanoha threads in peace. Now we can't without them being stuffed full with shit completely unrelated. We are outnumbered and you sit still doing nothing but yelling at the wrong people.
>brain dead redditor.
Mighty fine argument you got there. I think I gave you enough replies. Please keep filling Nanoha threads with VS garbage and pretending people who want to talk about Nanoha are the problem.
Plagued by crack kun…
Embarrassed by Vivid…
What did we do to deserve this humiliation?
Please let Reflection redeem this wretched series, because I'm too invested to pull out now.
It's the same guy arguing with himself. It's pretty funny to watch how he thinks he can pretend to be 2 people. Notice the ACK side didn't show up until someone mentioned it. Until then he was just going with his new anti-Vivid spam.
>Triangle Hearts is a totally different continuity
That doesn't matter. Just because your fanfction takes place in some "alternate universe" doesn't mean it doesn't make negative implications about the character's feelings. If someone remade the Nanoha the series and had Yunno as the love interest, you would rightly call it the piece of shit that it is.
>Please let Reflection redeem this wretched series
It's going to.
It has to.
>because let's be honest, Fate only became the love interest because she was so popular.
She literally replaced Chrono as the rival and love interest in the pilot, she was defined as Nanoha's love interest before they realized how popular she would become.
Because I'm going through the thread now. I don't actually care if people discuss Nanoha, Vivid, VS, etc. since it's all part of the same franchise, but your "muh nanohafags are the problem" persecution complex is just shitting up the thread. You want to discuss Nanoha? Go ahead, I'd love to. What no one wants is you whining about no one discussing Nanoha when that's a lie and you yourself are not discussing Nanoha
As always, the people actually trying to talk about Nanoha are the problem. No it doesn't matter that Vivid shitposters will always shit everything no matter what and stop any discussion that tries to happen dead on its feet, it's always the Nanohafags. Always, without fail.
You know, this is partly your fault. If what you wanted all along was a "let's dance on Nanoha's grave" thread you should have cut the bullshit and just made a Vivid Strike thread instead. It's what the spammer does.
>As always, the people actually trying to talk about Nanoha are the problem.
>but your "muh nanohafags are the problem" persecution complex is just shitting up the thread
Let's discuss Nanoha then. Which of the devices is your favorite? RH? Bardiche? GE? Levantein?
Graf Eisen. I just love his overenthusiam at killing things.
You can just tell he'd have the dumbest grin while saying it on his face if he had one.
I see, Nanohafags are autism now.
EF was never actually my favorite. I preferred Levantein. I dunno, maybe I'm too much into swords. The sword whip was also cool. That fight with Fate in the desert was great and I was sad it wasn't in 2nd
Indeed. Remember Nanoha's birthday thread? Remember how fucking bad it was when people were discussing Nanoha in peace and calm and there weren't any Vividfags forcing anything?
This one, best device.
His "Get Set" has become probably one of the most memorable lines from the series for me. Even rewatching the show years later, I get hyped up whenever I hear it.
He doesn't have much personality. Which I guess is good because he's not meant to be an actual character, but still.
>and I was sad it wasn't in 2nd
Movie 2nd fucked up in so many ways it isn't even funny.
A's >>>> Movie 2nd
The whole "let's recap the TV series with movies" idea was deemed to suck from the start.
Bardiche was pretty cool, especially with the suave deep voice.
I would want A's to get 2 movies, but I also feel that it would fuck with the pacing. the two scenes that weren't in the movie- the desert fight and the "I can be shot" moment- really was a bummer. I enjoyed the movie a lot but it sucks I couldn't get those two scenes in HD
Yea but I wanted the whole desert fight. The way Fate and Signum were evenly matched was great. Also how Nanoha was like >youre far away? lol i can shoot
People, don't, just don't respond to anything these two autists say. Or anything you just suspect could be those retards. DontT give them replies or excuses to start their shit debate. Everytime somebody responds to them shits up the thread.
Still doesn't matter. Here's another thread where he got banned and immediately started spamming from his phone just like ACK does:
If they're not going to delete all his posts, then they might as well do nothing.
I just noticed, what's the thingy inside the yellow energy sword thingy? Is it like an extension of Bardiche that generates the sword? Maybe I didn't pay enough attention, but can we see this happening when Bardiche transforms?
That's true, but I feel that Nanoha could be condensed more than Madoka. the movie wasn't bad itself; I just wanted to see those two moments and for the sake of a coherent tight story they were removed.
Madoka needed two movies not because there was a lot to cover but because the slow pace was integral to the story. If you went from "shit's not fucked" to "shit's fucked" to "can shit not be fucked please?" in the span of two hours, the audience wouldn't have been nearly as invested in the outcome.
There are clearly different types of energy involved. For example, magic circles are clearly made out of some sort but don't blow up or damage anything like the blasts that they're involved in generating. Perhaps there's a sort of structural magical energy. Possibly even multiple types of structural energy which would explain the thing inside the sword that you're referring to. Maybe that part is involved in the generation of the rest of the sword similar to how a magical circle helps generate a blast.
Should be just magic thingy.
Tsuzuki should focus on unicing and finishing Force instead of breaking up les couples.
I'm fine with keeping him. At least we will be able to point at him and say that Nanoha isn't 100% cute girls doing etc.
If I did doujins, I would make one where Thoma marries Isis but still can't be separated from Lily and when he knocks her up, it turns out the baby biologically has Isis+Lily DNA.
No, he is actually quite levelled and okay dude. IMHO. You know how in Nanoha 9 year old girls are unbearable responsible and constructive people, much more than most of us IRL in their 20s-30s? He's pretty much like that too, despite being 14 or 15.
Far from the edgy/dark/etc leads in your usual shounen actually.
His character design when transformed is really edgy, and teh concept of his superpowers he gets is too (against his will), but his actual attitude is okay.
It would be harsh to eliminate him from the series basically just because he's a boy. Even saying that as a yurifag that would otherwise go and ship Isis and Lily.
>His character design when transformed is really edgy
That's one of the biggest flaws with Thoma, I think. It's asking too much of the audience to tell them to take something like that seriously.
I mean all the serrated edges and flowing back stuff is one thing, but was there really a need for the red tattoos too?
I think the huckfucks have it too, it probably is a symptom of the evil virus. They should really eradicate it, shouldn't they.
You know, I can't tell if that works better because it's on a girl or because Levi makes anything work.
The tattoos still need to fuck off tho
Mainly when I look at that Levi picture, I think it is not that unreasonable (at least on a girl). It is supposed to look evil, like something you would have on a boss (like the BoD defence program mess in As).
Actually now that I think about it, the main problem are the weapons (the gunblades), those are fucking gay and don't match into Nanohaverse. Just the BJ with blades and shit that Thoma has would be Okay if he had a better weapon, IMHO.
It's not like you can't have something evil-looking without it being absolutely ridiculous. See: Fate.
I do think the weapon is dumb, but I don't consider it the main flaw but just another one for the list.
That entire outfit kinda works when you're a 2m tall, fit dude who can actually back up his FEAR ME, I AM EVIL attire with crushing skulls under his boots on screen.
It does not work for a skinny teen who tries to be a nice guy and normally wears a fluffy coat.
True that. just topless would be fine. works for Gil
>it's like they designed a female outfit and then just put a boy in it.
With the Levi picture posted earlier, I'm starting to think this is true. That the outfit came way before any part of the character was decided.
Would be awesome if the magic turned him into a girl eventually, so that the story comes the full circle back to the amazon-brigade trope.
Could be good source of comedy. Suddenly his Nakajima "sisters" looking at him with different eyes and so on. Err, her I mean.
And Hayate groping him if he had nice breasts, naturally. How could I forget.
Yes that's certainly one way to spell "jumping the shark".
Is there really any precedent for somebody's body entirely changing due to magic? Hell, we barely have "adult mode" as it is now.
Yo, did you forget about the rodent?
And familiar human forms?
And Rein II being able to change size from fairy to small adult?
Yeah, I suspect general public just wouldn't take it and on the other hand, there is that part of youths that is (probably. IMHO) a bit too fond of the idea of sex reassignment, those would probably be iffy with this in the opposite sense.
Gender bender can be fun though if you don't take it too seriously.
Hey that's nasty. As if ferret wasn't rude already. Yuuno is fine. He was actually quite a cute as boy too.
Just because you and I and everyone with a working brain works doesn't mean it's socially acceptable to turn dudes into girls on a permanent basis outside of clearly adult shit like Kampfer.
Touma's gunblades are the worst. They got hooks and spikes everywhere. Cypha's look a lot sleeker
A magical virus that turns him into a murder machine is crawling in his skin.
But instead of portraying its negative effects well we mostly get it through exposition and EVIL equipment that comes with it.
Welcome to Nanoha FORCE.
>A magical virus that turns him into a murder machine is crawling in his skin.
How does someone see this description without immediately thinking "i don't think i should greenlight this"
Actually I don't think the word evil is ever mentioned. It just makes people want to murder/go out of control or it makes them explode.
The Strosek girl keeps it in check for him so he's able to function normally without going edge.
One more Lily plug before I go to bed, because >dat BJ
Since Reflections is seemingly using some of the weapons in Force, do you think we will see anything more from Force in the movies? Or anything that references/uses ideas from Force in some way (like if they added the Materials with Force-like armaments)?
>Then I'd expect a lot of Force's ideas to crop up in one way or another.
Not necessarily. We know it's gunna be an "original story" and the sisters from GoD will be in it. And a new character. They're making the devices Force-y and they may make a few more reference but I wouldn't expect "a lot" of the ideas to show. I'd make more sense to tie it into StrikerS than Force in that respect
>it'd make more sense to tie it into StrikerS than Force in that respect
I don't think people should be expecting Reflection to tie into StrikerS. It sounds like the first real attempt to animate something outside of the main canon. Even 1st and 2nd fit in as in-universe movies but they've specifically said that this next movie isn't named 3rd because it's not going to be a sequel to 2nd. So if it doesn't fit into the main canon there, then it may not fit in anywhere.
I mean, when you are making a new installment to a franchise that takes place between two existing installments, and you have a spinoff of secondary material that already takes place between those two installments, you're bound to see some crossover. It's just easier to approach those sorts of things as an indirect adaptation, or a second-pass that allows you to borrow the ideas that worked and ditch the ones that didn't.
The only tie-in with StrikerS I want from Reflection is them making the former as non-canon as possible. Fixed Nanoha, just like that.
There's no way Tsuzuki would want Nanoha to be good again so I'm not actually expecting that to happen. It'd sure be nice though.
>The only tie-in with StrikerS I want from Reflection is them making the former as non-canon as possible.
The movies and the anime are different continuities, both are canon and have events that may contradict the other.
That's true, but it would still ,ake more sense to fit in more SrikerS than Force. Maybe the only Force things are the new weapons but it'd be cool to give everyone Force weaponry
>StrikerS is fine, maybe two movies can do it justice and trim the fat. Plus 5xSLB
>I just want Nanoha to be worth a damn again
Oh, you're trolling
Pro-tip- going back in time to loli Nanoha isn't a guarantee of quality. If the story is bad no amount of lolis can make the movies good
Shitty inconsistencies in the personalities of every single returning character except Signum and I think Vita
Shitty new cast that didn't matter in the end, making StrikerS pointless
Shitty, badly handled plot
Shitty, badly handled villain cast
Shitty music (Nana's songs excluded, of course)
And I also find Vivio an unsatisfactory addition to the Nanoha universe.
>i want nanoha to be good
>oh you are trolling!
Yea, fuck me, I thought it was another retard. I got tricked.
Anyway I think StrikerS can work as a two-parter, but if they're going to make new Nanoha movies, I'd rather have more new story. Maybe something like a timejumping villain that wants to rewrite history by going back to key events in the past (like the last Nanoha/Fate fight in S1)
In addition to Reflection. You think that's going to be it, once the two movies are done, no more Nanoha? I'd want more than just reflections, even if the rest of the franchise has to work in movie format
>You think that's going to be it, once the two movies are done, no more Nanoha?
That'd be fine by me if the rest of their TV input is going to be shit like what we've getting lately.
We can always have the mainline story be movies and any spinoffs be on TV. That way also the mainline stories will have better budget and any faggots who want to trash one part can have the other all to themselves. That would actually be ideal in terms of the franchise going forward too- the spinoffs can carry the Vivid label and the mainline the Nanoha one
Someone will have to pull Tsuzuki's head out of his ass eventually. Hopefully it will around the time he's done with the fourth movie so he can start working on the first Nanoha TV series in a decade to be good.
They don't deserve it.
She's definitely the coolest of the new cast.
I'm finally reading Vivid since the anime was bad.
I would like to apologize for saying that Einhart is shit, she's actually really kakoii.
Miura is also a lot cooler than I thought.
I just want another Nanoha related show with talking weapons.
ear.RAPE can do the OP for all I care, I just want to hear 「ｄｉｖｉｎｅ ｂｕｓｔｅｒ」again.
>inb4 the plot of reflection is that RH and bardiche turn into stuffed animals
Muria is a pathetic loser.
