It is very different. You should see women's football or motocross. They're like toddlers when it comes to motor skills. Australia's women's national football team lost 7-0 to literal teenagers in a practice match.

They are quite different actually.

Some people actually like more women playing certain sports since they are more "technical".

Basically, since most versions of sports with men are considerably faster and more "powerful", the audience doesn't have the same opportunity to follow the action or enjoy the technique behind them.

With that said, they are a small minority. And even their biggest fans will tell you that there are basically no competitive leagues worth following since only the best of the best look professional while everything else looks amateurish at best.

There are two factors here. The first one is that there are a lot less female players around, which means a much lower level of skills, both direct (less players means less good players) and indirect (less competition to emerge and so on). This makes the difference between the genders much bigger.

The second one is that you are not comparing one player to one player, you are comparing eleven to eleven. A good team can "soak" a bad player, but when each player is 30% worse than the other team, this becomes almost exponential. To make an example, a woman will not simply make a worse pass than a boy, her teammate will make a worse first touch, and will be positioned worse. All of this adds up quickly.
