I can't get enough of Mio's thighs
>mfw am in it now for the whacky duels
This has developed beyond what I was expecting.
Takuru is mad because she always goes on about family don't lie to eachother or keep secrets and basically tries to run his life. The anime doesn't really show how much of a domineering bitch Nono is
What went wrong bros?
Which is better?
>You came to the wrong neighborhood motherfucker
1) Cute. genki osananajimi
2) Protector of Takuru
3) Psycho bitch
4) Want to give Takuru a good time
5) Wants to exist with a purpose
"wrong neighbourhood" seems the ideal one.If the woman's face too was his then its a perfect "samefag" image.
>his waifu doesn't wet herself
Serika is pure and only trying to protect Takuru and make him happy.
She'd make a perfect wife
You have pre-ordered Chaos;Childらぶchuchu!! right? It is a good deal, especially the limited edition with all the extra goodies!
I'm still waiting for Takuru to call Senri Senri.
Two pink haired girls in the same show and one is much cuter and less murderous.
When Serika gets hurt she said something along the lines on "just trying to resist him a bit and that's the result", is it because she was created by Takuru and therefore going against him is bad for her (which makes no sense given how realbooting is supposed to work) or just that Takuru is some kind of buffed gigalomaniac that is ridiculously strong?
or was it about Serika to begin with, although this one look very unlikely
Senri saves the anime and then it dies with her.
Her screentime is kill, but her character is alive.
I think the problem is that good suspense and reveals are hard to do when you have to adapt a VN with more content than S;G in half the episodes S;G got.
Everyone knew it was going to be shit when the episode count was revealed.
I completely agree. The people saying that it's only because the anime is 1-cour are dumb, there are plenty of good 1-cour anime and this is not one of them. The problem is just the direction is awful.
I have read the source material and I say it is mostly because the lack of episodes. The source material is about a 40-50 hour read if you are a native japanese speaker. The show runners are trying to adapt almost every big element in the story so it falls flat without the build up. I would have preferred a complete rewrite than trying to compress the story into one third of what it needed.
Yes, there are plenty of great 13 episode series but they tend to have less content in them or don't try to adapt the entire story in 13 episodes.
You see. People aren't saying that having a single cour is a problem because single cour shows are inherently bad. They're saying it's a problem because the story as it was originally made is longer than S;G. I want you to think if S;G'd have been as great as it was with half the episodes it got.
That's the problem. They have to adapt the whole story, but the VN wasn't made to be adapted into a single cour of TV anime
>but the VN wasn't made to be adapted into a single cour of TV anime
Yeah but it could have worked with multiple seasons.
S1: Start up to the cafe freak out, maybe fit box mania to give the finale a kick
S2: Rest of the common route
S3: Character routes and the true route
>I would have preferred a complete rewrite than trying to compress the story into one third of what it needed.
Yeah, definitely. Maybe not a complete rewrite, but they should've recognised their lack of time and cut certain parts more aggressively to create a more polished and enjoyable final product. Like the whole Senri reveal was awfully done, so why not just cut that plotline altogether, it's not even necessary to the overarching story.
Otaku media sells not only based on the plot but also on the girls. Those extra 10 minutes for the Senri reveal wouldn't save the pacing and it would be one more girl that is basically eliminated from the adaptation.
So with the pace they are going, we can expect the planning of the escape next episode next week and the final battle in episode 12?
Does this mean no True End for the anime?
Or will they abandon half of the plot again, cut out the Steins;Gate references again and have the final battle next week and the True End in episode 12?
>Like the whole Senri reveal was awfully done, so why not just cut that plotline altogether, it's not even necessary to the overarching story.
Same reason Hana is still in despite having no lines outside of the epilogue.
Them chara goods aren't gonna sell themselves.
Can this Serika be trusted?
Why wouldnt you trust serika
She seems so honest
Hinae really is the most useless character, she never uses her ability properly when it would've made solving the mysteries super easy and the few times she does use her ability it's misleading and wrong.
Oh, she is honest.
But only about one thing. Truly best girl.
The story is still written in such a way that it doesn't feel strange.
>>people believe in Serika's words
I mean the buck has to stop somewhere. Protecting Takuru seems like a very reasonable motive and kinda makes you understand her motivations and that she isn't all that bad. Her existence is on the line. I doubt that she has done much outside of that.
How is this? I'm watching chaos;head and it seems interesting. None of the characters are steins;gate level likeable or anything but it's an interesting mystery. Don't see why it's disliked.
>she isn't all that bad
She still did that in the pretty much worse way, by assisting brutal murders including people close to him without at the very least reporting to anyone that could help prevent it. And considering all that she didn't even seem powerful enough to prevent Takuru being targeted in the first place.
Chaos;Head anime is a 3/10
Chaos;Head PC VN (translated in English) is a 7/10
Chaos;Head Noah is a 9.5/10
>None of the characters are steins;gate level likeable
I found the Chaos;Head characters more interesting but Steins;Gate has a lovable cast.
>but it's an interesting mystery.
The VN is more interesting. If you like the anime then you will likely enjoy the VN more.
>Her focus isn't the greater good, it is to protect Takuru and herself.
That is where you are wrong.
Because you don't watch the abomination that is the Tsukihime-tier adaption of a great VN.
You read Chaos;Head or don't bother at all.
If everything you wanted to do was watch C;C, then there is even less need to watch C;H as the first episode of C;C is a recap of all the important events in C;H.
You simply don't watch C;H, it is a terrible adaption, cutting out the best parts, messing up the pacing, inserting filler, and it isn't even pretty to look at.
And why would the committee respect the will of a simple errand girl not even loyal to them? The father sure didn't seem to care about what hers or takuru wishes. If she cleanly killed Nono would everything work alright?
Serika held back because Takuru didn't actually want her to die.
>The father sure didn't seem to care about what hers or takuru wishes.
Serika is probably useful to the committee but Sakuma, the real culprit, is the bad one. Serika likely didn't have that much to do with the murders.
Takuru is her reason for existing. I am sure his well being matters to her.
>I am sure his well being matters to her.
Well, I hate to break this to you, but no.
Her reason for existing is not Takuru. It's
what Takuru thought about back when he created her.
>I found the Chaos;Head characters more interesting but Steins;Gate has a lovable cast.
It's kind of a different genre. Steins;gate was realistic with just one campy sci fi thing thrown in. The characters were all weirdos but they're weirdos you could imagine being real. Whereas chaos;head seems like some kind of generic 'real world' fantasy setting. I guess I won't know if the characters are really interesting or just cliche dark and mysterious superheros until mysteries start getting revealed.
No, it is pretty unique considering how deep the shit goes.
>really interesting or just cliche dark and mysterious superheros until mysteries start getting revealed.
The anime doesn't really do that. In other entries where the characters are explained better the characters are interesting and are beyond messed up. When the mysteries are out things remain dark and unsavory.
They only made 13 episodes and went full retard with the story. The anime is also way too nice about things.
Chaos Logic is the best OP in the series.
To add to this you seem pretty spot on with the differences between Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head. The former is way more light hearted with a good story and is focused on the characters. It is a great VN and anime. The horros in Steins;Gate are told but not shown. Chaos;Head is more plot driven, mysterious, and has a heavy atmosphere. It is more show and don't tell.
>It is more show and don't tell.
This is what's great about it though, you have to piece together the little information that you're given to form a great picture of the whole. Steins;Gate is a good story, but it lacks this mystery element I so love.
The thing I really like is the unreliable narrator which makes you actually live through the uncertainty and self doubt with the protagonist instead of just watching a crazy person bumble around.
I guess even these threads have trolls. Fake Me has good animation and Find the Blue is nostalgic. Chaos Logic is the best overall though when you consider the song, animation, and feel.
They just went off the rails and changed so many things to then tried to insert cheap drama and some of the stupidest things I have ever seen in anime. Not showing the best ending also hurts.
I prefer both Chaos;Head Noah and Chaos;Child to Steins;Gate but Steins;Gate is different and has its own good points.
I couldn't agree more on how much more interesting Chaos;* is. Out of the entire series they are the only ones I have reread and thought about much on my off time. Steins;Gate was a good one time experience but not interesting enough for a second read or to even think that much about. It didn't inspire as sharp emotions in me as the others..
>>I found the Chaos;Head characters more interesting but Steins;Gate has a lovable cast.
>It's kind of a different genre. Steins;gate was realistic with just one campy sci fi thing thrown in. The characters were all weirdos but they're weirdos you could imagine being real. I'm not trying to start anything but S;G cast is way generic than C;H cast
>token tsundere with daddy issues
>airhead childhood friend
>perverted best friend
>I guess even these threads have trolls.
It's just opinions that differ, I prefer fake me for the song, find the blue for the nostalgia, Chaos Logic for the animation and Fetishism ark for, well, also the song.
I was having a giggle. I think all of them are great. The anime OP is good. All of the Chaos;Child openings have been good too.
All three LCC opening and Chaos;Child LCC OP has been great. The music direction in everything is top notch.
Steins;Gate was more typical anime than Chaos;Head but the characters had some depth. Okabe is not as interesting as Takumi or Takuru but I still found him to be enduring.
Yes, it is. Make sure to buy the uncut version. As far as I know the PS3, PSP, Android and iOS versions are cut, so make sure to get either Chaos;Head Dual for PSVita or Chaos;Head Noah for Xbox360
>Ok, now you're trolling. Nothing about the anime is good.
The OP animation was trash but the song was good.
I agree with your other sentiment.
Fun but christ is it out of place and odd.
Just an example. Plus Sena's feet are more erotic than a lot of shit out there.
I only have android and a PS3. Damn it all. I hate if I put down money for a game that another version has more/better content.
You could always download the PS3 version off of nyaa, read it and buy the xbox360 later on when you get a friend to lend you his console, or you can find it for cheap somewhere else.
>yfw you create your own waifu and she will murder to protect you
God tier waifu
Her most useful application of her ability was when she noticed Nono lying about seeing Senri's death with her own eyes.
There's also fun in thinking how half-truths an technical truths can bypass her.
I want to adopt loli Senri and don't make her go through evil experiments.
You guys lied, she isn't best girl.
Then you can watch your favorite anime together and it will be a novelty for her.
With all the content they had to omit and shit, I guess no more cute moments? While I dont usually ask more of these but I guess the anime purpose to advertise the VN actually worked.Well, damn.
I can't decide if I want to pull Senris or Hinaese tails.
>best girl is killed
Watch last week's episode carefully
She is Nono for people with average tastes like current Taku, Senri is for people with good tastes.
Worst Nono is already dead, Best Nono was improved through breasts reduction and twintails.
Takuru wanted attention from his parents, because being neglected as a child sucks. But he isn't child anymore and wanted to do things he really wants to do like following the serial murder case and Nono is telling him to stop.
Why are di-sword designs so bad? I mean the originals were bad but atleast with enough suspension of disbelief they could pass for swords some more than others. in chaos;child they don't look like they could function at all. even senri's claws are non functional looking. how do you make claws look like shit?
Does the di-sword have weight and suffer with the air resistance? If they don't then senri's claw sword won't have any functional problem.
If weight and aerodynamics of such design don't matter, then the only issue would be fighting in closed space restricting it's movements or hitting your own body with it, which shouldn't be a problem considering the way she holds it.
You either read C;H beforehand (highly recommended) or skip it.
Whatever you do, you don't watch the anime.
Chaos;Child has a recap episode for all the important events in Chaos;Head, so you won't get lost.
Which is the best green delusion involving one of the girls in Chaos;Head and why is it this one?
That's not a good delusion, or do you want to be NTR'd?
Well, there is always the chance that he already did her.
Then you have shit taste and are a cuck.
I want to brutally rape her while scientists are doing their thing.
Why would you do that?
it took 23 dicks to make her faint.
No one but herself is more accurate.
> with enough suspension of disbelief they could pass for swords
The point is that they look unreal, somehow organic, yet cold and otherworldly, which was why most of the C;H di-swords are crap because they're "just swords". C;C swords look ridiculous, but follow a theme of the senses. An open eye for Takuru, a closed eye for Serika, a tongue for Hana, an ear for Hinae, hands for Nono/Senri, and Uki's is a nose with a mustache I guess.
Di-swords have no weight. They move exactly as the wielder intends. Takumi tosses his like a lance and it flies an lands exactly as he imagines it to.
I want Senri to be my onee-chan and protect me from dangerous things.
Why is Kawahara so fucking pathetic? Is he trying to smoke out who Nono actually likes? The bento mentioned was probably one she failed to give to her brother Takuru, of which her feelings are strictly platonic.
To be fair no one would think your childhood friend is actually someone who can change forms and stole her identity. Anyone would think she just changed, especially after a major earthquake that killed her family.
I wonder how cucked he feels when it comes to Takuru.
Senri tolerated it because of self hatred but Nono wouldn't. Takuru said Nono would never accept him because of her hate for Senri so one could argue he meant the real Nono.
"Dead" pink-haired nerd girl takes on her popular friend's appearance as she gains imagination-based powers through a supernatural occurrence taking place throughout Shibuya.
>they didn't animate the endless green delusion
Let's face it, the anime is shit.
Words I have to live for
Mindless posting like>>154686502
is nothing but pure unfiltered cancer.
How about providing some arguments for discussion?
Needless to say, pic related is best girl.
Escapism is bad.
Keep deluding yourself, it will bring you joy after all, right?
No, there will only be the inescapable delusion, corrosion, vanitas for eternity.
Senri/Nono is beautiful no matter what she looks like.
If the universe is just a hologram then reality is a illusion itself. If loving Senri makes me delusional then I'm living a reality like any other.
I always feel depressed when I know Rimi will never be real
As we are staring at our
nonexistentRimi figures, someone will gently embrace us from behind, just like this picture. I'm sure of it.
To be fair, if he actually got a sword then, he would likely just get captured immediately, since Norose would know right away and have no reason to let him go free.
So getting the sword on his own terms may have been actually better in the long run.
Serika knows him better, he was having a lot of fun for most of the investigation. She supported him in Hinae;'s route and Hana's route. The only reason she this was to give something for him to do and let him follow his heart. At no point did she have any ulterior motives.
Serika is a good girl. I expect her to be even sweeter in love chu chu.
Most of the routes are clearly twisting the characterization. Hinae acts like a stupidly happy gyaru in her route, Takuru acts overly calmly analytic in Hana's route, and so on. In multiple routes Takuru suddenly doesn't give a shit about the picture on the cellphone anymore. Each route vaguely twists the concept of "what Takuru wants" in order to get Serika to not screw up the route for the heroine. Serika even effectively plays a jealous stalker, with ridiculous maniacal laughter, in Nono's route, just for the sake of moving the plot forward.
Seira-tan was right.
Nanami could be dead at that point and he was in danger also she was the onky one who told him to stop giving a shit about the incidents and just fat to her.
Yeah, that's possible. Serika's characterization is somewhat vague since it's never clearly defined in the main route how static her goal is, and the character routes have a field day with that. Kawahara is also a major asshole in Nono's route, so I think this comes down to the writer turning complex characters into straight-up villains so they can be used as foils. If Serika's goals were so easily changed, her life would have been much easier.
It's a tie between the twintailed cuties.
>it's never clearly defined in the main route how static her goal is,
I think she wanted to follow his will, give him something to do, and have him following exactly what she was doing for him. I don't think she was an emotionless robot since Takumi wasn't one either even if Takumi is more complete than her plus her absolute breakdown at the end of the common route. She had hidden motives so when Nono calls her out I believe Nono since I doubt Serika can change her mind on a dime before Takuru even shows up. She wanted her cake and to eat it too, stepping up the game was a side effect of trying to get more of what she wanted.
>Kawahara is also a major asshole in Nono's route
He was but I felt that he would be but not to a comical extent. I did appreciate when he talked with Takuru during the festival in the common route, made him more likable. There was always an undertone of jealousy over how Nono outside of work is always "Takuru this and Takuru that" and muh family and LCC is tapping into that.
Another part that didn't make sense to me is that when Nono turns back into Senri in her route she is willing to abandon Yuuto, Takuru, and Uki just because she feared Takuru would look at her and reject her. I know lying to him never felt nice for her and when Takuru ran away it really hurt her but I thought her conviction for her family was stronger than that.
He's certainly a bit of an asshole in general, but like >>154697791 says, the festival conversation showed he's not totally bad. In that conversation he also mentions Senri with a smile. But then in Nono's route, he's raging about how much he hated Senri (acting like she cockblocked him when they were little kids??), repeatedly shitting on Nono's family, beating Takuru half to death, stalking her and forcing his way into their apartment, and so on, which is far beyond his previous behavior.
I think the main route establishes, and the true route makes clear, that Serika does care about her friends, Itou, and so on. But that when it comes to her goal "to give Takuru a purpose, and help him fulfill it" she literally switches off all emotional considerations and takes action.
She killed that woman for an apartment for no real reason other than a place to stay so I am not sure how much morals she had even outside of Takuru and her purpose. I don't remember that part of the true route where it shows that she cared about Nono or Itou though, only a stream of memories. I sill don't see a reason to purposefully start using his family since he was having the most fun before the Yui incident and would have felt a real satisfaction had he pursued it as an outsider. He still could have been blamed for the killings of other strangers.
The woman's body is only found in Nono's route. In the common route, the body isn't mentioned even though Shinjo still scopes out the place. My thinking is that in the common route, Sakumamerely brainwashes the lady, but since he gets killed in Nono's route, Serika has no choice but to kill her.
Doujins of chaos girls getting thrown into a mixed prison where?
That is true actually when you think about it.
Still though, I can't buy that she was anything but a unstable amoral tulpa with a mission, she is a role player with odd motives. The true route was nice but wasn't explicit on what she actually felt inside during that time, I only was able to see some of her thoughts. Silent Wind Bell is an expression of Takuru's feelings.
Best tails, best sword, best tits, best girl.
Serika. She is cute and energetic but also has a little devilish side too. Her loyalty is unquestionable.
From the first ~30 lines of the true route, it's explained that
after Serika was born, she was homeless for a while, and then you-know-who said she'd be better off if she had a place to live and pointed her in the direction of that house, with the understanding that she'd kill the occupant, and did so. It's also explained that all her murders were for the sake of making him happy.
I'm sure Mio will enjoy watching that.
oops, just realized that what I said is besides the point. You're right that she kills easily but
the true route definitely shows she cares about her friends, after all, her subconscious feelings are very clearly spelled out, not to mention everything she says toward Takuru is evidence of how she really feels about "those things". I hope that's clear enough.
You have to click on those two diagonal arrows for the correct resolution image. "master1200" is a compressed version for exhibition.
I am just not entirely convinced that
she only does what makes Takuru happy. Considering her powers it would be trivial to make him happy but she actually made things far worse for him and basically ruined his life.
I'll reread the true route when I get a chance but I don't have a copy of the game on me. It has been a year and a half since I last read it after all. I never saw her as much of a character and more as a manifestation of Takuru's heart and mind when he was 11.
I would if I had a scanner. I am sure they will show up before my copy arrives on the 4th.
I would probably abandon all Sci;Adv threads and /jp/ once the game is released. Never be on 4chan when you are playing a game you are anticipating. Ciel no Surge got spoiled for me on /sp/ ffs.
It is more anime than the Chaos;* series and easily palatable. C;H's and C;C's appeal are the mood they set, the atmosphere, and the plot among other things which can't be adapted as well.
I wish they had more screen time for Serika. Nono seems like the main heroine up until the most recent episode.
Nono is the main heroine in our hearts.
