It's sad because this series had excellent potential in terms of art and story telling. And it really upset me to see that he went thru those things way too quick like they did.

Chiyo all of a sudden deciding she loved him was honestly completely left field and him doing the same was just dumb.

I felt like I was watching a failed version of Inuyasha and the exact things that you shouldn't do that you'll see in the Gintama manga arc where they try to make a manga and the progression doesn't make sense at all.
