>Perfect idles don't exi-
That's a bad meme and you should feel bad
I want to fuck Lala.
Heh, I'm not even watching the remaining episodes anymore before S2, shit is getting boring as fuck and recent episode was with seriously boring character. Why does Bandai keeps shoehorning this meme character with her meme karate chops to force drama in the series?
>[bitmap] Rilu Rilu Fairilu - Yousei no Door - 37 [980E75DA].mkv
Not related to this episode at all, but I got the 3DS Fairilu game working the other day. Nothing too exciting, but the minigames are surprisingly okay for a kids' game.
Hopefully one day you guys get to catch up with s2 whenever its out.
My date went just meh.
3D, not even once.
I wish Himawari repalced Hinaki.
At least Ako is a pop type and she's popular. And she really really really cute.
They were really calculating for her popularity this time. She's a desuwa ojousama cat with the bratty personality that's wildly popular with big friends. The only negative is her crush on Subaru which was probably also deliberate.
Not one of the Soleil or SoLaMi girls or Hime?
I wish Juri, Rin and Madoka were the MCs instead of tha boring trio.
You know, surely A girl should be more like this.
How about this rare cat?
>Falling in love with a 3D girl
That's extremely good.
Nice blog, anon.
You seem to have suffered that moot image mixup thing. Let me help you out by posting the right pic.
>With performances as crappy as the ones in Stars
Ah, I see you have very poor taste and judgment in these matters.
How do you know when it's too much?
>When galaxies collide and the Earth gains wings and EoE happens.
[x] galaxies collide all the time way out of our sight
[x] Earth has electromagnetic "wings" of various kinds
[x] third impact already happened long ago
Time for the christmas episode.
meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme meme hopefully you were able to understand that too.
>The Stars CG performances are amazing and well near the level of late original Aikatsu.
I'm going to guess you haven't seen one of the late aikatsu performances in a long time and you're simply misremembering the massive gap in quality.
Miki's face is pretty much my face whenever Haruka Luka is on screen.
Fuck no. Dreaming Bird was fucking awful.
>Hey boss? What should we do for the camerawork?
>I don't know, zoom up on Lily's face whenever you can and then shake the camera and then repeat, don't forget to do your best to not shown anything else but that
>You got that boss!
Extremely disappointing considering the Cardass one was a gorillion times better.
>a dance performance that actually focuses on the dance and the footwork instead of the camerawork is awful
>not liking Haruka Ruka
Talk shit get hit.
She's a blessing and Stars desperately needs more of her.
Truly the most deep anime of our generation.
>All of it
Except that was the initial point. That the camerawork was super awful so it was not showing one of those super crucial elements of performances, one that I dare say is more important than "expressions".
So what's next? That the performance was super duper good and it and I just have shit taste?
Here's your last (you). Props to being so dedicated at being a drone.
One good performance doesn't redeem Stars, god damn.
Aikatsu Akarigen was worth watching for the performances alone, like whoa, every single one of them was so beautiful and memorable.
And a trip for good measure. I bet Yume's butt is warm.
Holiday Aikatsu episodes never disappoint, and this one was no different. Using a chainsaw is probably Aikatsu, but spare a thought for the broken axe, gone but not forgotten.
Feeling pretty lucky that I get to watch a new years episode straight after this one too.
She just annoys me.
>Aikatsu Akarigen was worth watching for the performances alone, like whoa, every single one of them was so beautiful and memorable.
Indeed, I wish the show would have been as beautiful and memorable as the performances.
So you don't have the attention span or focus necessary to appreciate different parts as they come up. You want it to be only a single thing. That's fine. Just don't blame me when my original point was that the camera always follows what's important [at that point in time], which is dynamic.
It also changes between performances to emphasize different parts. Usually the first one is a bit all over the place, and then they use longer cuts later on. Lily's song is a good example.
the camera should focus on cute idle butts.
Let's remove the stage as well and leave only a pitch black background, now the aura IS the stage, the idols talents are seen through their ability to create stages, the stronger the idol, the better the stage, so there are like top idols who sing the stage into Victorian chapels and shit.
I was half expecting someones hands to get smashed in this scene.
>there is an idol that makes the stage darker
>an idol that can rewind time
>an idol that can crash planets into earth
>an idol that can erase abstract concepts
>the final boss is an idol whose performances bend reality through her imagined stage
Holy shit the possibilities are endless, we've found it, the way to make idols full shonenshit with tournaments and all kinds of opponents.
I don't get why people diss the stars songs, they are the same quality and memorability as the original show. hell, take off the nostalgia goggles and you'll realize that first season of OG had a greater number of generic, poorly composed and boring songs than any other season afterwards, like move on now, take me higher, growing for a dream and signalize for a few. yes, I realize a lot of people like signalize, but I've never been able to understand why and suspect it's mainly nostalgia. diamond happy and calendar girl are much more exciting and actually capture the spirit of the series.
As much as I like these sort of episodes, they do end up being a bit stopgappy. It's just consolidating where all the characters are at, and getting ready for the next storylines to happen. Not that it's a bad thing to have them every once in a while. It's nice to sort of see where everyone is at post whatever development they got. Although I really don't need anyone else to tell me that Yume is much stronger than she was a year ago.
Still plenty of cute moments, and Moroboshi being a fucking dork again.
I'll probably regret this later in the week when I'm trying to run through 5 eps in an evening, but for now I'm gonna stop. Mondays fucking suck.
I liked Signalize cause it threw me off when I first head it. I was expecting a much poppier OP.
Then motherfucking Diamond Happy happened
>I've never been able to understand why and suspect it's mainly nostalgia
That's a pretty dumb conclusion to jump to. I liked the song before I even watched Aikatsu, you just might not like the genre or specific song.
nostalgiafags are the worst on any board
I agree that a bunch of those OG aikatsu songs are mediocre and uninspired, though not Signalize.
>take off the nostalgia goggles
I started OG a few weeks before Stars started and Stars is clearly below not only compared to OG, they don't even try to make their composition or instrumentation unique, the effects are all a mess (Yozora's voice on Mirai Transit), unlike OG who has all kinds of flavours from the beginning that know exactly what they're aiming for with diverse and distinctive music that matches their characters, and a clean sound too. This is true for almost every song save episode Solo, I would say some other Stars songs are also good but that's my own taste.
yeah, I know, you already said. guess what, everyone is not you. I remember all of the stars songs and like most of them, too. and I like the original show, too. I just don't remember it is as much of a masterpiece as some people seem to remember it was.
It's true, though. people subconciously let nostalgia cloud their judgements of quality all the time. it's a proven effect and it's not a personal dig at you. I thought this because I often see people criticizing stars for problems the original show had too, and I don't think it's entirely intentional, I think in some cases people really do selectively remember only the good parts of shows. for example, people criticize the way ako and mahiru are reduced to "meme characters", but they seem to forget that the original show also did this with tons of characters and would even introduce characters and do literally nothing with them afterwards.
The reason I don't like it is that it doesn't fit with the tone of the show at all.
> unlike OG who has all kinds of flavours from the beginning that know exactly what they're aiming for with diverse and distinctive music that matches their characters
that's true of season 2 onwards, but not of season 1. there are some more playful standouts in season 1, like glass doll, but overall all the music sounds basically the same - generic j-pop. I don't dislike it, it's just not "diverse and distinctive music that matches their characters".
>but they seem to forget that the original show also did this with tons of characters and would even introduce characters and do literally nothing with them afterwards.
Except people complain about that all the time. For example, whatever is the red haired girl who yelled random English was called. Everyone also always complains about how the potatoes were wasted because they had half a show of screentime in comparison to everyone else. How about Sora and Maria? Even Seira's fuckbuddy suffered from this. And so on. Saying that people are blind to OG faults is nothing but an utter lie.
Bullshit. People keep talking about these things even now. That they are less frequent? No fucking shit. People talk about what's happening now because, you know, it's happening now. Same as how /a/ talks about currently airing anime instead of stuff that aired 20 years ago, because it's easier to talk about what's currently airing because more people are focused on it.
Good, more Kii for m
>The reason I don't like it is that it doesn't fit with the tone of the show at all.
What about it doesn't fit the tone of the show? The lyrics are fine and not out of place, the composition is very synthpop/electropop but it's not like it's the only one of its kind in the series but you just single out Signalize.
Hi. I'm not from around here, but what happened to the guy that would make threads with
/ai/ - idle activitiessurrounded by a quote or a song lyric from somewhere? They used to be neat to read now and then, and I don't think I've seen it for a while.
Have a good day dear anon.
>despite not getting a CG performance until like a 100 episodes after her debut and getting the least screentime, Shion had the most development and characterization out of the AssShake trio
I agree Kaede was underutilized. But she was the only one besides Mikuru who acted like Mizuki's equal, and her involvement with Yurika was entirely well done and interesting. It's fine for some characters to not be as prominent as long as what they have is unique and important.
You really cannot compare Mahiru with Kaede or Sakura because Mahiru is a main who was introduced from the get-go unlike those two who were introduced late into the game and clearly have a different dynamic going.
If you are gonna compare Mahiru a fairer and more equal comparison would be either Ran or Aoi who were the mains of OG aka the characters on a role equivalents to Mahiru's.
Is this the best kids show airing right now?
Stars is going for a main quartet rather than a main trio like OG. I guess Yurika was kinda more relevant than everyone else and even managed to remain in Aikatsu 8 through the entire run of Aikatsu via RL popularity alone.
Rider villains are always relev/ai/nt.
It was a trio for 30 episodes. Yes, they were all in every one of those episodes.
>no Glass Doll with post-ep50 CG
Living can be rather uncool at times.
I missed the discussion earlier but I'm going to post my favorite bit of camerawork in the series anyway because why not.
Rape fantasies are basically the most popular fetish among women.
They are, given the millions of women who went to see 50 Shades. You just gotta fulfill a bunch of qualifications before a woman will say it.
This. Never trust women or you'll wind up like that Chile anon earlier in this thread, or more likely worse.
Honestly, /ai/nons should just hook up with one another if they are that lonely. I'd rather try with someone from here who I know share little girls anime with than try my chances with someone random out there.
I hung out with an /ai/non irl and he was disappointed.
Greatest country in the history of the world.
Being a sidle must sick.
Imagine being born in an era where all those super duper extremely talented people are born at the same time and take over everything. Where no matter how hard you try you know you will never be good enough.
I like Tamaki and Nana, but nah. Yuzu is undisputed dance champion, and Lily or Yuri deserve it more than any first year.
Now Kokoro, she was robbed.
How do we take down the Kasumi scourge?
>It's been out for nearly 2 weeks already
>try out 50lb paper for coloring
>results are 10x better than the crappy copy paper I've been using
>I could've have just gone over to the store and my coloring would have stopped sucking so much
I just want to make my Kasumi unit already.
I want to kidnap a sidle, tie her to a chair, and relentlessly mock her about how she will never become a top idol of anything and all her effort has been a waste and how she will never amount to anything in her miserable always full of failure and 2nd and 3rd places but not a single 1st place life.
i want Yurika to
>[Mezashite] Aikatsu Stars! - 047 [84005D95].mkv
Monica is still da bes.
How do I want it? Lily > Hime > Literally anything but ties, anything
speaking of cute anons, I'm still not over
>Monica is still da bes.
Those with highly contrasting, non-gradient chromatic aberrations in their hair and/or eyes are xenos that need to be purged.
>you will never know this feeling
Get your shit together dance class.
They still have a long way to go.
Less than 6 hours before Salami gets out fucking skilled.
Someone give aoi some noonoos till she stops pouting.
Her performance was kinda rubbish.
Neither are subs, but they're caught up to her important episodes. This is the Nozomi Best Hits List I made for /padt/, so if you need to catch up on her without caring about the other episodes, this list is for you.
26 is where she first appears
27 is her formal introduction
30 is where she gets Pinko and Renji
32 is where she competes in school athletics
37 she meets the Noratama Trio
Admittedly that's as far as I'm up to in subs myself at the moment (I've watched her known episodes separately, but that's where I'm up to in watching them all), so the rest of the list is probably missing some
39 is the amusement park one
40 has her build Cocotama Land with Kokoro
47 she gets Nikori
51 she organises the Cinderella play
55 she goes to Kokoro's for Halloween
57 is the friendship photo one that this comes from
61 starts the Vivit out at night arc
62 is the Pajama party one
66 is the really important one
69 she makes Valentines candy with Kokoro
72 she's there when Hina meets the 'rabbit God' again
74 is this week, and seems to be one if if not her last episode before she leaves
I've read that she's leaving because kids in Japan didn't like her. I read that here though, so I don't know if it's true or not.
Her getting written is the last nail in the coffin that was me ever getting caught up on Cocotama. I love Ishihara Kaori so it was the one thing that gave me any drive to ever watch the show.
This meme is bad and you should feel bad.
Is Double M supposed to be written this way or was someone at Sunrise on some kind of substance?
Turn that W upside down and it turns to an M.
