So I've been more of the WN, and it's pretty much been revealed that Roswaal was the one who planned for Subaru and Emelia to meet so he'd fall in love with her and do everything he could to help her. Because Roswall knew Subaru would have powers.

So does this mean there really is some kind of enchantment or spell making Subaru thinking he's in love with Emelia? I don't think they reduce down that far. Assume that each rabbit eats one other rabbit and then splits into two. You'd have the same number of rabbits that you started with, even if they kept doing that repeatedly. It might get a little smaller from variance over a long period of time, but I think it will generally be the same sized swarm as it was at its last feeding, losing numbers only due to losses exceeding what it could replace with the available food.

It might be possible to beat over some kind of long, well orchestrated campaign where you attrition it to death, but you'd have to make sure it never came into contact with anything that would let it build up again.
