I think you guys are underestimating how adaptable those volumes will be. Since you'll be cutting down on all of Climb's retarded internal speeches it will go by a lot faster and it won't be as annoying. Ditto for the Lizards. The problems with 4-6 wasn't their content, but their pacing. The anime will likely improve it. Also, if you really want to, you could probably splice in bits of Volume 8 whilst the Volume 5 stuff is going on. Not only would it chronologically make sense, but it could help the secondaries from being deprived of their Nazarick fix.

By the way, why do we think the Dragon Lord that slayed a player is DDDL? His title is 常闘の竜王 which is more like Continuous War Dragon Lord.

I noticed that all DLs revealed in that pamphlet had their titles in kanji instead of katakana. But at least one's title and description kind of fit the description of the existing DL (Heavenly Dragon Lord).

The fights in and of themselves are unimportant. The nice thing about Overlord having an OP main character is that there's usually a focus on a number of underlying things going on during a fight, rather than the typical power-level wankery that shounen garbage frequently stoops to.

For example, the Gazef fight is more about Gazef sacrificing his own life so that Ainz would show some mercy on the Kingdom. Pic related.

The Go-Gin fight was more about the context surrounding it, Ainz's own adventurer gamble, and, of course, Jircniv's final mental collapse.
