PC/tablet/smartphone...
What app/program?

I tryed with "Manga Reader" for Android, It's not bad but I don't like doing it in such a little screen, so I gave it up.

kissmanga

"Perfect reader" on android
>>
es file manager on my phone/tablet
or whatever site pops up first when I search on google but since madokami I don't really need to do that often.

I cannot read manga on a computer screen. It's a terrible experience.
>>
I have a tablet that's pretty much only for manga. But I usually wind up reading LNs on my phone instead.
>>
Downloaded volumes+Tablet+CDisplayEX

Honeyview is acceptable as well

I download complete series and read them on my tablet, and I catch up to publishing series on kissmanga.

The photo viewer of windows. But most of the time I stream manga on batoto or here on /a/
I tried using my phone once but didn't see the point of doing that when I'm always on my pc.

It's viewer, not reader. It's good but you need each volume on cbr or similar.

Also SumatraPDF on PC.
>>

I use an application called mangameeya, just drag and drop the folder with the manga to read. It's also has a lot customization options regarding the shortcut keys, zoom in, scaling, auto-read, etc.

Otherwise I just read it on kissmanga if I can't be assed to find good scans

Ipad in bed, super comfy. Watch some Gintama then read a couple of chapters of a manga with a blanket on me. Maximum comfy, especially if don't have work the next day, then its like a cherry on top.

I dont like reading manga on my phone, screen is too small.
>>
>>154468168
My tablet crapped out, so I usually read it on my smartphone. Manga Reader on Android, btw.
I like to lay in bed reading it, it's comfier than sitting at the desktop, and the laptop screen is still too large for me.

I actually prefer using this over using honeyview because my laptop's screen isn't big enough to display a full page. If the pages are lined up vertically I can just scroll vertically rather than scrolling vertically and flipping pages.

Is there a manga reading software that arranges pages that way?

kissmanga tends to use lower res/more compressed scans than batoto
but then they have the advantage of not being moralfags so they still have shit that's being officially published in English etc whereas batoto takes that down I think?

it is available through the play store, but the only major difference I could find between this version and the "definitive" version is
>There is no license filter - meaning you will get unrestricted access to all manga and sources that are not available elsewhere.

I exclusively have used Manga Rock in the past, but the ads have gone overboard. at first there where ads only in a bar at the bottom of the screen and in-between pages, but the last time I read a chapter I was redirected to a facsimile website of the play store through an pop-up without explicitly clicking on something

>paying 5,99 USD to read unrightfully translated material of copyrighted material which I usually would have to pay to read
wow. I may be lazy (not bothering with looking for proper scanlations on various sites and choosing the one I find offering the highest quality and constantly looking for updates of a respective manga) but I won't pay for a piece of software that pushes ads as far as it impacts the user experience and additionally has basically no ad policy to protect the user from harmful advertisements, such as obvious adware.
>>
Mangarock on my phone, it's the only app I have ever actually bought.
>>
>>154491196
I dunno m8 it was like £2 when I bought it years ago and it's extremely convenient, especially how it gives you a notification when manga is updated. That said the ads weren't bad then either so I'm unsure what your complaint is about, sounds like it's awful now.
>>
>https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aonhub.mr
the user interface looks and feels great. the responsiveness of the UI is far better than I was used from Manga Rock and the only ads I have seen so far are inbetween pages and in the catalogue (with the latter one don't really interfering in your daily use). it also doesn't need an account, doesn't have any paid version (although I wished it had).
overall a great application, with the only downside being that you can't read manga offline and you don't have any possibility to add your own chapters. but that's fine, since it's not explicitly a viewer but an reader which relies on external sources
>>
>>154491808
>That said the ads weren't bad then either so I'm unsure what your complaint is about, sounds like it's awful now.
well, as already mentioned here >>154488116 you have two different types of ads: at the bottom of the screen (classic Google Ads, like in every other application and AdCoices) and in-between ads (mostly AdChoices advertising various applications from the Play Store).
the ads located at the bottom of the screen are very distractive since they often change and the ads itself are animated or flashing to attract the viewers attention. the other ones, in-between pages, are massively tearing down the overall performance of the application, due to resizing and implementing the advertised content into the page, so you will have to deal with less responsiveness of the interface and might unintentionally hit the "Install Now" button, which will directly lead you to the Play Store or a facsimile website of it.

I wouldn't mind paying for it, but I hate the way advertisement is currently implemented in Manga Rock. so, with me paying the full price for the paid version would directly imply my encouragement of the described methods. but you may have noticed that I (quite obviously) disapprove with the current advertising policy.

that being said that's simply my stubborn opinion and what I make of it, so that may or may not be reasonable to you

I just joined today while reading this thread. haven't had any problems joining the IRC channel or registering through the bot. you may want to try registering another nickname on Rizon and retry to connect to the channel afterwards.
