Doubt that's the case. Usually anime are made to boost manga sales, and it's doing pretty well so far. That didn't stop Sangatsu no Lion to have an adaption way into its story though, so there's hope as little as it is.
I hope Hinako is at least half as cute and cool as Mafuyu.
