Reminder that Big Mom did nothing wrong.
Who will finally make him give a fuck?
Will a non-zoro/luffy strawhat ever topple an admiral?
Nami is the weakest person in the crew
She did many things wrong. From a strategic perspective, the whole fake wedding thing is a waste of time that would also be terrible PR. She should have had the Vinsmokes killed in secret and blamed it on someone else.
By publicly killing the Vinsmokes and breaking her promise of an alliance, she would guarantee that nobody would ever trust her or want to marry into her family ever again. She isn't just a pirate, she's a Head of State, her word has to mean something or it all falls apart.
Why can't we get a simple Robin doujin where she uses her powers in a creative way (besides growing a dick) to blown someone's brains out with rogasms?
>higher ups attending the wedding know she is planning to kill them.. she said this herself.
That makes this even more nonsensical. If it's public knowledge that Big Mom is an untrustworthy bitch that will pretend to do weddings only to kill the groom's family, why would anyone ever agree to any marriage?
Jinbe is the final crewmember. Carrotniggers and Caesarfags will get epic BTFO.
>send a message to the underworld.
>>"Don't ever trust me to keep my word because I'm evil and I'll betray anyone if I feel like it! HAHAHAHAHA!"
Yup, seems like a good message to send.
And the WG will just leave them alone and let them take over almost a quarter of their territory if they fly Big Mom's flag? I doubt it, the WG and the Navy went to war over Whitebeard over Ace, no way would they back down when their tax revenue and the integrity of their power is at stake.
In terms of power, sure. But she should be aware that he'll try to fuck her up sooner or later. Like you know, when you have a big fat greek weeding or something similar.
Which makes me think, does Bege assume that Big Mom knows his plan?
Well, at the very least we will get an Oden flashback, probably Drake's too, and these are usually good. Other than that, I'm afraid you might be right. But with some conflicts already set up, and (likely) most of the major players already introduced it should run smoother than Dressrosa. I'm just hoping that the action will be spread along at least two days and we will visit different locations in Wano for more than a short while (like Skypiea or Alabasta).
Everything in Big Mom's house is sentient, deadly, and totally loyal to her. Big Mom will know immediately the second anybody is set to betray her.
What she didn't count on is Bege's ability to hold meetings inside his body.
>Everything in Big Mom's house is sentient, deadly, and totally loyal to her. Big Mom will know immediately the second anybody is set to betray her.
Not really, none of those items told Big Mom about any of the shit that's going on. Her own children are keeping secrets from her.
Luffy is gonna vomit at the thought of eating raw fish, calling it now. He will tell Sanji to cook it, the Wano people will be deeply offended and force Sanji to shave his head as an apology.
>greatest swordsmen ever
Good thing there isn't anyone on the SH crew with the explicit goal of toppling all the great swordsman.
He'd probably be in for quite the party.
>Enjoy wasting 1.5 years of your life trying to catch up with a Manga only 70% complete
>Speed read it.
This is the kind of people that post in these threads
Watch, Mihawk is considered greatest barring Wano. Being isolated, there is no way to compare their strengths. Zoro will get btfo by at least Kin and probably a dozen other samurai.
He cares more about Luffy than his own dream at this point. He won't abandon his Captain.
Because she wants ALL of their tech and armies to herself. She doesn't want them sailing away to the North Blue with most of it.
Though really, it would make more sense to just capture them and hold the Vinsmoke children hostage to force Judge to do more science for her.
>Zoro fought Luffy before
When Luffy attacked him, also it was just after entering GL.
>And promised not to let anything get in his way of becoming the greatest swordsman in their first meeting.
And then was ready to give up his life and his dream for the sake of Luffy and the crew. Character development is a thing.
Wow, it's almost as if that happened very early on in the series and Zoro grew as a character or something. It's almost as if you completely skipped Thriller bark or something. It's almost as if you ignored what happened in Mihawk's island or something.
We have no idea. Probably just below Zoro.
He hasn't had a major, serious fight all timeskip. When he fought Vergo he was already suffering heavy injuries from Nami being in his body, Judge didn't fight him fairly, and his only other battle was a skirmish with Doflamingo of all people.
Who knows? Steamrolled Wadatsmui, body damaged against Vergo, Law interfered against Doflamingo and steamrolled Sheepshead (who's 2th in Jack crew), off screened Yonji, Bobbin too weak.
Do you think we'll get a flashback of Big Mom revealing her dream like we did with Whitebeard? I am fully expecting all of the Yonkou to secretly end up having been good people at one point.
>I am fully expecting all of the Yonkou to secretly end up having been good people at one point.
I don't, it's nice to have scumbag pírates around to remind us that the SHs are the exception, not the norm
Sengoku please. One Piece pirates are different from real pirates. Most of them got into this to find Roger's treasure not to pillage and rape, some of them just forgot that along the way.
Doesn't she already have a dream of having an island where all the species in the world live in peace with no discrimination?
She almost made it come true too. There are only a few species lacking.
I figured it was supposed to be exactly an ironic "nice" dream she had.
Am I the only one that loves them all equally? I've been a One Piece for so long that I've got so much love for each member of the crew.
How fast can you read
I like most of them.
Sanji and Nami were weak characters for a while post-timeskip but they're bouncing back. I've never cared for Chopper and he's gotten even less interesting over the years as his personality has devolved into cute mascot and his fighting style has changed for the worse.
At some point, you've got to wonder why the WG even has a Level 6 in Impel Down. Just execute them instantly and call it a day. There is no reason to keep Sanjuan Wolf alive, the WG clearly has no qualms about murder.
Typically government dogs are causing strife for the commoners of said island until Luffy comes in and ends it. The common thread being - changing a country back to what it was is good for the people.
Um no sweetie SaNa will never die because it will be canon.
And darling, SaNa got hinted this chapter.
Have a good day honey.
Most have been shichibukai which are gov't sanctioned pirates. They are dogs working for the man. And, even if that comparison is not perfect (Enel, CP9 didn't want to rule W7), a broader theme expressed in each arc follows - leave these people alone, they were doing fine before meddling with their lives.
So I guess that Luffy should have just leave Wapol, Ennel, Hody and the Wano Shogun alone. After all, they're outsiders and as such they shouldn't interfere in internal disputes.
>Open the door
>Put SJW in
>Close the door
Come on guys. Use your brain.
>wapol a part of WG regime
>Enel was an outsider
Hody is the only example you have. And are we arguing ethics or themes? I'm not going to say what Luffy should or shouldn't have done, I just wanted to point out nationalist themes expressed in a fair amount of arcs.
>>wapol a part of WG regime
Wapol is part of the royal family that had been ruling Drum for centuries. He was a vassal to the WG the same way a King was a vassal to Rome in Ancient Times or a Noble is a vassal to his King in the Middle Ages. He wasn't an outsider at all.
I didn't call Wapol an outsider. Also I think Oda made a point to mention that his father was a good ruler. And if theme couldn't be more apparent, just look at Daltons convo with Hiluluk
>is a country still the same?
>as long as the will is passed on
Meaning Dalton has the will to restore their country. He doesn't have royal blood or anything but he can save their country because of the will and pride he has. I think.
Luffy and co aren't against a WG or the Marines itself. They are against the Tenryubittos controlling the actual WG. It has never been question of abolishing the Marines, just reform it.
You're giving Luffy way too much credit. He hasn't actually thought about any of this, mostly because he is extremely ignorant and genuinely doesn't really know how the world is organized-
Luffy doesn't understand the nitty gritty but at this point in the series he definitely understands the basic structure of the World Government and role of the Celestial Dragons.
In Amazon Lily he was just as overwhelmed at the idea of the Marines going to war with the Whitebeard Pirates as everyone else, and in Dressrosa he made comments about the state of the country and how it reflects his own upbringing in the Goa Kingdom. He's stupid and ignorant but not completely unaware of the larger picture.
I really hope Vivi gets to meet up with the crew again soon.
I want to see the awkward interactions between her and Robin, and her reactions to Brook after she learns he's friends with the whale she spent weeks trying to kill.
Canon does not need active forcing in thread. It simply exist.
Most of the fanbase loves it, just like all the bring-up-the-plot/character-from-x-years-ago ODAAA! moments. As for me - it kinda goes against the point of Luffy/Laboon duel, but the flashback itself was awesome so I don't really mind.
They're not very smart.
How Impel Down should have worked:
>1. Seastone test for every new prisoner. No bullshit like Buggy being an undetected DF user.
>2. Barring certain circumstances, DF users are immediately executed next to a huge pile of all different fruits from across the world. This will not only drastically bolster the power of WG subordinates, but also improve DF identification in the long-run.
>3. Barring certain circumstances, Level 6 tier inmates are immediately executed.
Wow,that's a lot of excuses all at once. So are we going to ignore the fact that he spent most of his time post TS either bleeding from the nose or crying? Sanjifags on full damage control
Before the pointless discussion starts I'll bring up two main arguments of both sides of fruit.
1. We've seen Smiley's fruit go to the apple nearly after he died.
2. Caesar could have just modified him that way since he seem to have some more understanding of DFs.
Don't mention it.
This guy's devil fruit could be pretty cool if he used it like air trecks, but instead he just went full blown retarded with it.
I like discussion. Problem is there are certain ones that always end up the very same, with both sides basically looping. E. g. Luffy vs. Doflamingo, Monet's "death". I didn't see the fruit one in years, so maybe I overreacted, but there's really nothing besides the these two points in this debate (I have a stand in all of these, by the way).
>Marco confirmed it.
Marco said something like.
"Teach isn't like other people with that weird body of his. Is that how he did it?"
Marco was speculating.
He didn't confirm anything.
Marco's one-off line that he says with no realize explanation isn't confirmation of anything.
If he could always have more than one devil fruit, why didn't he get one before just to have more power and help finding the darkness fruit?
The thing is we don't know much about teach.
>wanted to lay low while searching for yami
>knew WB ship was best place to chance it
>loves history research
>sad as a kid
>has a weird body
>scarred Shanks 20 years ago
It's all vague enough to be malleable. Oda could go a few different ways with his story.
Have you see how much damage he can tanks ? I think his fruit actually "eat" dammage or attack, that mean he must suffer more because he "eat"more pain too but that allow him to tank like a fucking beast.
Clever enough to fool the marines that he doesn't have a fruit.
Escapes from Impel Down, np.
Gets attacked by all three admirals and Mihawk, takes barely damage, np.
Teams up with Whitebeard, np.
Saves Luffy and Jinbe from Akainu, np.
Has a crew full of super strong escapees, np.
Is a Shichibukai Post-Timeskip, np.
Buggy is the strongest character in One Piece atm.
>He mentions he can pull the powers out of people at some point.
actually he never has.
that's why the nature of how the BB pirates steal fruits was discussed until Jesus turned up on Dressrosa.
Gal D. Ino is already Yonko commander level, with a level of combat to the famous Sweet Commander, and one of Yonko Big Mom's strongest children, Charlotte Cracker himself.
Buggy himself can split his body into smaller parts, and researches and makes powerful bombs.
Buggy's awakening will give him the power to split his body down to an atomic level, making him impossible to hit, and he will launch his atoms at people whilst splitting them in half, causing massive nuclear explosions.
He will be a monster.
Drum had the best doctors right? I wonder if Blackbeard pirates learned any interesting info when they sacked it. That could be how Blackbeard's crew steals fruits. I don't fucking know
I think BB's ability of having at least two DF really is due to his original DF.
People might be confused due to translations of Marco's line but it's fitting for his fruit.
The number 2 isn't really random, current official translator of OP once discussed that Ace's line about Blacbeard living twice the life he had might be read as something more than just the age.
The point is, when it comes to Big Mom, you can't win. You marry into her family, it's likely you'll be killed on a whim, you don't marry into her family? It's likely you'll be killed in a whim. Thats why she's scary and thats why shes a Yonko
>What will his awakening be?
It depends on the fruit type. Zoans get a massive physical boost, but become retarded. Paramecia seems to be able to affect their environment like they affect their body, like you said. Logia are going to be weird when revealed.
Oda's ability to write and design good female characters has gone to shit recently.
Half of them share the same body type, and he's relegated most of them to fanservice or gimmicky support abilities. Rereading Baroque Works after Dressrosa was like day and night.
I recently got back into OP but Dressrosa was really underwhelming. Thankfully Robin seems to only changed her look but lacks her boss battles, but Nami is the real disappointment to me. Her and Hancock could both forever disappear from the story and it wouldn't adversely affect it.
You nigger better stop talking shit about my man god Usopp.
I'm actually okay with Robin's development. While it arguably makes her less generic it's really nice to see that she's gradually loosened up and opened up to everyone after finding her home with the crew. She's gone from the mysterious to femme fatale to the group mom.
Her designs gone to shit though. These days she's just Hancock with glasses and a more revealing top. She's lost practically all her distinct features, besides her nose which is downplayed in the current art style anyway.
Robin suddenly becoming a moralfag made me mad, her backstory woukd turn anyone into an amoral sociopath who uses people. Now I know Robin realky cares for her crew but I cant see her caring about other people that much due to her low level of empathy caused by trauma.
Soon. Kaido will kill Zoro in front of Luffy, causing him to rage and awaken it.
I feel like it won't work exactly in this way because Paramecia is such a vague class.
The only confirmed awakened Paramecia is Doflamingo, who ate one of the fruits that allow the user to produce and control a material, in his case string.
His awakening allows him to convert his surroundings into string as well.
His fruit is more similar to most Logias, who can produce and control elements, so I would imagine that a Logias, not Paramecias, will have the same kind of awakening as Doflamingo.
That would explain why Akainu and Aokiji, who are known to be incredibly strong fighters, were able to completely change the climate and geography of Punk Hazard during their fight.
Luffy's style of Paramecia is very different to Doffy's style of Paramecia, so I would imagine that his awakening would be very different.
Its almost like a Zoan in the way that he can change his body; but instead of changing into an animal he changes into rubber.
Perhaps Luffy's awakening will allow him to become some kind of rubber monster, in the same way the Jailer Beasts can transform into an animal monster, making him much stronger, tougher and faster, with greater recovery time.
And since Logias can also change their bodies, they could get the best of both worlds, with the ability to change their surroundings into their element, and also transform into an elemental monster with greater strength, speed, toughness and recovery time.
>Over the years Nami has been demoted from spunky, scheming thief girl to a sane man character who overreacts to things.
She has lost that trait pretty much instantly after joining the crew. Aside from that one time in Enies Lobby she didn't steal shit over the course of the manga. After that her defining character trait was her compassion for her crewmates and the occasional island inhabitants they come across. She is always the one being very keen on keeping the crew together.
Which was true pre-TS (Saving Alabasta, Luffy vs Usopp, rescuing Robin...) and post-TS (forgiving Jinbei, rescuing the children on PH, getting Sanji back...). The scheming thief only existed for a pretty short time at the beginning of the manga - it was a big change in character, sure, but didn't have anything to do with the Timeskip. Aside from her hair and arguably her breast-size, her character didn't really change in those 2 years, so I'm not sure where this idea came from that pre-TS and post-TS Nami are so completely different.
But that's just my impression.
You just reminded me that Usopp has a higher bounty than Sanji
Nami was still cunning and crafty during Alabasta and Skypeia. The whole reason they got involved with Baroque Works in the first place was because she was trying to extort money from Igaram.
He gradually did become the compassionate scaredy cat but it didn't really take over her character completely until the Water 7 saga. Post-Timeskip hasn't dramatically changed her character outside of having far less screen time and her redesign, but those are also factors that change how the audience perceives her.
How can you kill something so amazing?
Zoro can't die. His lost soul won't make it to heaven. It'll just wander back into his body
Well, don't forget why she originally decided to help Igaram and Vivi or Zoro and his debt (I know it's mostly a gag, but that was fucked up). But for the most part you're right, her greediness is mostly used for an occasional gag after these.
Oh, and she was pretty cunning wth the wizards right before the time skip.
On the other hand, her more compassionate side can be seen as early as in Gaimon chapter.
By the way, she also stole key from Wapol back in Drum, but that was even earlier than your example. And she has
I'm still betting on Luffy's awakening being molding.
Rubber is soft, flexible and used to craft other items, it's never really used just as rubber. The main use of rubber is making molds. Molds are used to make copies of other items.
Through out the whole series Luffy has been copying other people's moves.
His awakening will allow him to copy other devil fruits he's seen as well.
His awakening will allow him to bend
time and spaceso at the end he could travel back in time and become Roger.
I watched the anime in about 6 months up to Dressrosa, then the manga in one year till last chapter, but since I finished Dressrosa I read like 50 chapters in 2 days, I'm sure more is possible but sometimes it becomes boring and you need a break, I would reccomend manga first, then after some time the anime, by the time you are done, at least one new arc will be avaible.
Yeah, I've seen many points at which One Piece supposedly "got good" (very beggining, Baratie, Arlong Park, Logue Town, Alabasta) but chapter 300 is a new one. That would be the end of Skypiea/beggining of Davy Back. They're good, but that's still weird.
I don't really have a problem with it. It's just that he would be better with an eyepatch
>Luffy's style of Paramecia is very different to Doffy's style of Paramecia
Finally someone else gets it, I'm sick of hearing all this bullshit about how luffy is going to elasticity deform the world or invent time travel
Higuma, the bandit from the first chapter and the very first series' antagonist technically died in the present time.
Mr. 11, however minor he was held the position of the only character to die outside of flashback and their first appearance until Ace's death, generally Alabasta had pretty big amount of minor characters' death compared to other arcs (but you probably wouldn't want to count them).
If you want to count Monet, then you might just count the other guys mentioned (but you need to keep in mind that Oda has shown Mr. 9 and Miss Monday 500 chapters after their last appearance being getting fucked by Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine).
I love the idea of Logias either actively or passively transforming their surroundings into their element
>Croc can turn gardens and towns into deserts
>It was clear skies in Drum island when Ace was there
It's my headcanon that awakening is just using a devil fruit in a creative way or one that isn't immediately obvious and that the Gears, Monster Point, Cloning herself and Astral projection are Luffy, Chopper, Robin and Brooks awakened abilities
I hate Robin's devil fruit because you cant do anything with it beyond spawn limbs to beat the shit out of people from point blank range and cloning which is a shitty ability honestly.
I don't think that the Gears, Monster Point, Cloning herself and Astral projection are awakened abilities. Compared to Doffy, they seem really weak, but they are probably a step towards Awakening.
She tried to go up against the Man, the Myth, the Legend.
I like the 'sword keeps him from dying at the brink of death' theory myself.
>lost an eye
That one fanfic page isn't canon. Besides, Zoro is
More Thriller Bark time.
Bring your good attitudes.
>Reading One Piece for the first time
>Intense as fuck
>Whitebeard is based as fuck
>Ace death hit me like a ton of bricks
>Whitebeard last order
>Then this happens
I want to get off mr Marineford wild ride!
What do he and Guts know that we don't?
Why are they always winking?
I've always thought Dragon had the air air logia and I will never stop believing it as retarded as it sounds
Please don't put that poor excuse of a pirate next to the hottest man in the manga universe
Spelling has nothing to do with autism. Thanks for confirming you have no idea what it is. And redditor is a term for someone who is from reddit, try to keep up.
No, really, explain why you think just replying to something with "head canon" makes any sense at all.
Difficulty spelling absolutely does have to do with autism. It seems you're in denial about your mental disability.
Yes, the CORRECT spelling is "redditor". Not "redittor" and certainly not "redit". Stop trying to damage control because it took you two failures to actually get it right.
>Difficulty spelling absolutely does have to do with autism.
Your say so is not actually an argument or any valid form of proof.
And the fact you keep refusing to address how you should be making "downvote" posts shows how stupid and cancerous you are.
Well it's seems that Paramecia are divided in three sub-type.
>"Corporeal" like luffy, where their body is change, they have a power in relation with their body
>"Manipulator" like WB, Hancock, Law or Moria or Foxy, that can manipulate their environement.
>"Productive" like that faggot Doflamingo or Magellan that can create something and manipulate it. Robin is in this category too.
Watch up until episode 450 or 500, then switch to the manga. The anime drops in quality severely by that point. Also read the cover stories of the manga if you stick to the anime route.
A pirate is basically a criminal on the sea, pirates spent most of their days robbing vessels containing goods in their areas so they were basically were parasites, if one were to keep doing this they would eventually lose any concept of a normal life, so the pirates thinks? If I can rob ships why not rob landed areas and thus the pirates loot and pillage coastal regions and sometimes conquer them turning them into their puppet states to extract resources which they use to finance and improve their pirating abilities. Doflamingo is the most intelligent pirate captain yet as he turned an entire country into his puppet state and leeched the wealth away from it to continue his pirate antics behind closed doors.
So what would a pirate do if they met a ship? If it had people on it they would most likely be tied up to be raped by the crew when they get horny or tortured when the crew gets really bored.
The Strawhats dont rob and pillage they are complete shit pirates.
Actually no. The pirate were not dumb or wanting to die. If you kill all the crew or torture them, people will heard of it, because they will be no survivor. So the crew of the ship you want to rob are gonna fight like mad dog, cause they know they gonna die if they surrender.
On the other hand, if you spare the crew if they surrender, that's a other matter. They want to live and could surrender without fighting ( wich is what pirate want) and thus most pirate where using a "Surrender and give your goods or Die" tactics.
Oda originally had the idea to split the world of pirates into two categories: "Peace Mains", pirates who did no harm and basically solely enjoyed adventuring, and "Morganeers" who were the asshole murderous thieving pirates.
Oda realized that not all the pirates he conceptualizes would fit into one of those categories, so he scrapped it and made "Pirate" and umbrella term for anyone hoisting the jolly roger.
The only regard that the strawhats are "shit" in is that they are poor, and they usually fall ass backwards into money somehow.
You to rob to be a pirate as you have no job thus need funds to finance your shit. Lets say your boat gets fucked up well you need money to pay for the repairs or you could just threaten the repairman but that also ruins social charisma making the repairman not trust you. So you can just rob an entire town of its wealth then continue to fund your shit. Crocodile robbed a country of its wealth to finance his Baroque Works operations for example.
they're a militant force unlawfully holding territory in an unexplored ocean. until the WG expands their reach, it's basically no-mans land held hostage by a criminal. if you've read recent chapters, you will see that big mom does not "lead" she rules
"Leave pudding to me" when?
Oda is such a memer. Pic related
He probably does but maybe it's more like someone gave it to him. If I had a island deep in the new world and all I had to do for ultimate protection is give a drunk his sake I'd do it.
>Crocodile robbed a country of its wealth to finance his Baroque Works operations for example.
Actually I'm pretty sure Baroque Works operated as bounty hunters to get their wealth that they needed to buy the silver to make dance powder. All legitimate.
In addition to the other reasons people have said it's probably unrealistic to have their power keep hold of a territory beyond the calm belt. And they wouldn't be able to get anything out of it either since they have no real reason to visit and the territory has no way to offer tribute without needing to send envoys to regularly cross the belt.
>sanji with brief case, groceries and flowers
>nami waiting at home like a house wife
>the bunny is a painter, paints luffy
hey guys, where do you read one piece? like what site has the best scans?
i keep up on mangastream but i missed a huge chunk in the middle after the timeskip, so I have some catch up to do. i read up to the timeskip during a nice storytime someone did on /co/ like three years ago.
>Or did BB already hunt it down?
>Giant darkness monkey that creates earthqueakes
The real monkey God
Giant utters are killing this series. If I don't get a flat chest by the end of this arc, someone's gonna pay!
>implying oda would miss out on the opportunity to draw giant furry tits every chapter until his death
What does /opg/ think Charlotte Waffle?
His sweating is foreshadowing because sweat is salty liquid and the Strawhats are on a boat in a salty liquid (the ocean). He will fill the Logia gap with his Sweaty Sweaty no Mi
