The designs themselves were made to be animator-friendly since this show seems to have a very tight schedule, but I still think that if the coloring and the editing was better the show would overall look way nicer

also speaking of blaming the designs on 8-Bit, the designer of the show is Masayuki Nonaka, he is a freelance animator that just happens to work a lot with Tensho, the director of this show.

I know Chaos;Child has fundamental problems from the standpoint of an adaptation but unlike Rewrite at least the director has an ounce of creative voice. That and it basically always looks better than Rewrite. They're being forced to butcher the material on account of length but you can tell if he had two cours to work with, it would end up as something good. Rewrite on the other hand I feel like even if they had 50 episodes all we'd get is a meh faithful adaptation.

I don't agree. Rewrite's main problem is the budget, which means the animation is awful. The story is still the masterpiece written by Romeo and so it's still really good in that respect. Chaos;Child's adaptation isn't just rushed, it's poorly handled, as evinced by the Senri reveal and the boring last episode, and so I feel even with two cours it would still be bad.

IIRC, Shizuru is the only one who can put a fight/hold Sakuya back due to her speed and strength, albeit if Sakuya went all-out then he could beat her. Kotarou with enough rewrite can too and the only version that could is the one Kotarou who rewrote himself to beat earth dragon. That would make her Guardian's current strongest superhuman.

About Lucia, she did overpowered Shizuru a bit, but it was under favorable circumstances of getting buffed from toxic environment. But Shizuru wasn't fighting seriously to kill in that fight and didn't use her ability on Lucia and she was still faster than Lucia.
