I don't really like SnK past the first cour, but now I wish they'd actually released S2 a decent amount of time after S1. They had a fucking cash cow and they blew it by waiting so damn long to actually get on with the second season. They wouldn't have a problem funding Mahoutsukai if they'd made some smarter decisions. And Kabaneri? Fucking forget it. Their only hope is that people still care enough about SnK.

y'know I was ready to get in this thread and get all pissy about another relatively interesting manga getting fucking dumpstered on by its anime adaptation but it looks like they took the right direction to actually get the spirit of the series across.

It's not perfect- shitty bone's voice isn't great and the magic effects look cheap, but I'm not as pessimistic as usual.

Mahou Tsukai's art is way above your average manga, very hard to adapt, though in the OVAs the quality was acceptable. Now, in the TV series, and giving the circumstances, the animation department will most likely crash and burn after the three or four episode, and by episode six it will definetely be a QUALITY shit fest, with some good looking stills here and there.
