It was fucking great, the ending is actually good as well. I'm talking about the manga of course, anime has a stupid ending.

It's tonally similar I guess, and Yoma are kind of similar to apostles. Basically half monster warrior girls are used to hunt monsters. It's great, give it a shot. I especially love how humanized alot of the enemies are

The manga sure gave a feeling of dread from most part of it. The enemies were so much more powerful than everyone that even most of the deus ex machina they used felt insufficient to overpower them.

It did fade out after a while though.

That was one of my favorite things about the manga, everything felt so hopeless buy the Claymores make it through on teamwork and comaraderie.

It's a fantastic series that overall dropped in quality in the second half while never getting bad. While people may have issues with the anime ending, as do I. It capped off the series at a better point and the actual ending wasn't THAT much better.

Until the time skip it's like a 9/10 at least, but afterwards it it's a 7-8~/10 depending on the moment.

Also the art is fantastic. Yagi needs to get serialized again.

The thing that got stuck with me after I read it were those crazy zombie claymores that kept growing stronger while eating the "endless" dudes. It was pure nightmare fuel.

The anime ending is retarded and makes no sense though in terms of Clare's character. She would absolutely never spare Priscilla, that was her entire reason for becoming a Claymore and living. Not to mention she had no business beating her in a 1v1 to begin with. The manga ending wraps up pretty much all of the plot points and loose ends, develops Raki very well, and gives an awesome final battle. Pic related was awesome

What i found kinda weird is how abissal ones are so powerfull, yes they were number ones, but the difference between them and number 2 is too big.
Like you could have a number 1 from an era being less powerful than a number 2 from another era but that number 2 couldnt transform into an abyssal one.

Waiting for the chapters were pure hell, they always ended in horrible cliffhangers and started bad on the first page to end end up horrible for the MC's in the last one.
