mandarake is a chain of multiple stores and you have to look at what store your item is from. Some process things quickly and some will drag it out over days.

If it is just one item from their flagship store (Nakano) they process it instantly. Nakano has their own on-staff exporters. It is possible the smaller Mandarake branches send their stuff to nakano, and they fill in the export paperwork for them. I could see that adding a few days to the process.

If it is somethign you really want just buy that single item from that store. They will get the order quickly and at least mark it as sold under your name.

Problems only happen when you have multiple stores on a single order. Someone at Nakano will get the order, and over the next few days they will slowly piece it together and contact the other stores. In the time it takes to process the orders in-house the item may already have been sold.

This is especially true for new listings (page 1/2 items) as they sell very fast. Do not group stores when buying a new listing.

Now that we are discussing doujins. How do you keep track of your collection?

After using a spreadsheet for over 6 years to track all my buyfag purchases, I decided to make one for doujins, it currently has about 8 macros to make life easier, like pasting and adjusting an image from the clipboard to the cells size while also adding an hyperlink on the adjacent cell.

It doesn't seem fun but it is very entertaining for me to keep track of every single detail of the collection, it even saved me a couple times from purchasing the same doujin.
