Most of the time manga is the inferior medium so it's okay. It sucks when you have to go to the manga to follow the story after the anime ends, I'd rather have an anime original ending than that.

I probably spend 10x as much time reading manga as watching anime. I can find a lot more stuff I enjoy in that medium. Anime can't afford to take as many risks and is often just basically advertisement for manga. Furthermore most of it is just adaptations and I find that in 95% of cases the original is better than the adaptation.

The artwork is generally better, I have a personal preference to the black and white aesthetic, I can read a couple chapters when I have the spare time instead of committing 20ish minutes, manga tends to be longer with more fleshed out stories, also the subject matter tends to be more varied, as more niche stories never get animated.
