What the fuck? No, Sasuke went crazy because Itachi mindraped him and told Sasuke he was weak. I never cared much for the romance in naruto and i didn't really care about which girl he will end up with but there was something that annoyed me a lot.

The thing that bothered me the most with the romance in the manga was that after the time skip Kishi started teasing the Sakura x Naruto heavily early on, especially with Sakura realizing how much Naruto has sacrificed for her when he turned into 4tails chakra cloak shit versus Orochimaru, then after that you had scenes where she keeps thinking to herself how much she is thankful to Naruto and how much she wants to help him even if she has to go against Sasuke.

Moving on she seems resolute to go against Sasuke for Narutos sake.

Then suddenly Pain vs Naruto happens, Hinata confession, sacrifice, then everything starts to fall apart.

Sakura slowly starts showing signs that she cares for Sasuke as much if not more than she does for Naruto. She confesses to Naruto and then admits that she doesn't love him. She makes her resolution to kill Sasuke, even going as far as to try to give some sleeping pills to Naruto so she can go and kill him without him getting in the way and when she finally confronts him she is ready to suck his dick.

Then you have 80% of Sakura x Naruto moments with heavy implications and 20% Hinata x Naruto moments just to be safe because Kishimoto had not yet decided which girl he wants.

This is the exact fucking part i hate about this, in the ninja war it seems like Kishi was almost sure that he will have Sakura end up with Naruto, drawing similarities between her and Kushina, Kushina wanting a wife for naruto that resembles her, Minato asking Naruto if Sakura is his girlfriend and him replying yes, Sakura desperately trying to revive him and giving him CPR and lastly having inner thoughts solely about Naruto through out the whole arc.

Then out of nowhere Sakura again wants Sasukes dick despite everything he did. It just seems like they decided to make "The Last" and Hinata worked better.

I think we still got that. The problem is that people didn't draw the proper parallels.

The lesson wasn't "get a Kushina" it was "get someone that balances your personality". Naruto is more like Kushina in terms of personality, so he needed someone more like his dad.

This is funny because I identify with Hinata more than any other character cause I used to fail at a lot of things and have self-confidence/ esteem issues. Plus I look more like her than I do Sakura. I even had a crush on the funny kid who got held back a grade when I was a little kid, so you can probably see why the pairing appeals to me.

Also the pairing may appeal to some girls in general cause it shows girls getting what they want.

To add to that I always thought Sasuke was a dick and Sakura was annoying for obsessing over the asshole and being mean to Naruto in the beginning, so Sakura and Sasuke kind of deserve each other in my eyes.
